sitting pretty on the desk is not enough for a phone
Maybe I'm just an ignorant idiot who doesn't know Cisco phones, but I was expecting to be able to plug the phone in the office and start using it... WRONG! As this very aesthetically pleasing phone and its myriad of advanced features comes with a major flaw: it doesn't come with an AC adapter as it does POE out of the box. As our router does not support POE, I had two options: spend another $50-$75 on an AC adapter and wait another 3-4 days to receive it, or simply look for a less advanced, but ready to go phone... Cisco, this is a $300 phone, do you really have to nickel and dime us on an AC adapter? What's next, phone that doesn't come with even or odd keys and make these an add-on, separately purchased accessory? On looks, I would give the phone 5 stars, but that's not enough! As I wasn't able to test the phone since I can't plug it in, it's worth 0-1 stars: I can't make calls with it, sitting pretty on the desk is not enough for a phone!

Nice phone. Nice features. Kind of nice display. Mediocre price.
This is an excellent IP phone from Cisco. It works well with CUCM/Call Manager deployments. It comes with the phone body, a footstand (which only can be attached one way), a handset, a handset cord, and an Ethernet cable.Note that the phone can only do SIP. It will not do SCCP or any other older protocols. It will do wideband audio codecs like G.722. The phone does have a built in SSL VPN client (think AnyConnect) that allows you to use it for remote sites like home offices. You need an ASA firewall at the other end to terminate the VPN connection, as well as a particular AnyConnect for Phone license to utilize this feature.Another reviewer lamented the fact that the phone had no power adapter. It is true that there is none included. However, PoE (Power over Ethernet) switches are very widely used for IP phone deployments, so including power adapters (which would need to be +48VDC no less) would just inflate the cost and leave most deployments with a large pile of unused power adapters.I dinged the phone one star mostly for the display, and partially because of the cost. The display, while pretty and crisp, can be difficult to read at certain angles. This is especially true if you slouch like I do. Exacerbating this is that the footstand can only be used in one position, unlike the next product line down, the 78xx series. The cost, well, it's Cisco hardware, so you're going to pay a bit of a premium.

Great phones
I purchased 70+ of these in one order for our organization. They work great and came with up to date firmware already installed. I have had no issues configuring them on our CUCM and they are in pristine condition. I've already ordered my next 120+!

I hope they enjoy the last dollars they will ever get from me
You can not buy these phones preowned. they require a license to work. one per phone. Cisco will not allow you to pay for the license. Craziest thing I have ever hear. I wish I would not have just ordered two Cisco POE switches. I hope they enjoy the last dollars they will ever get from me.
