Juniper berries are one of those spices that are essential for certain recipes but only in my repertoire a few times a year. These are great value and I repackage them into a mason jar. I appreciate the great value but it represents the conundrum of spice purchases in the United States. Buy small packages and they overcharge you tremendously. You can also freeze them in proper packaging and they will stay fresh almost indefinitely.

I think they're technically juniper, but not blue like I expected, and bigger than I expected, and they didn't smell like gin like I'm used to smelling.I don't know whether they're an inferior breed, or just not quite ripe or what.They also taste terrible.I know they always taste bitter, but the ones from the tree I pick from outside taste much better.

Gin and Tonics are enhanced with these great berries.

I was very happy with these Juniper berries. They were big flavorful berries that have worked well in my pickling recipe.

Shockingly bad; hard as a rock with almost no detectable oils or aroma. Compromised a $100 batch of pancetta. So unbelievably disappointing; I have never seen such terrible product in my life.
