Caran d'AcheBallpoint Refill - Black Medium (8428-000)

...and rather importantly the only refill that works in Caran d'Ache Ecridor series ballpoint pens.These store well, have above average haptic feedback for a ballpoint and give exceptionally long write-out.The color and line width choices are limited, but that's no surprise.I'm not a fan of ballpoint pens in general, but this refill along with the excellent build qualities of the pens themselves make the Cd'A Ecridor pens better than tolerable writing instruments.

Many years ago I received as a gift from my brother in law, a Swiss engineer, a pencil pen from Caran d'Ache. It was a jewel, with a silver body. I enjoyed it during many years. At some time someone liked it too much and stole it.Since then, I have been buying Caran d'Ache ballpoint and pencil pens as gifts for my family, and using them. They are not easy to get in most of the countries but I sometime get a few ones in the in bond stores at International airports. Recently I found them in Amazon at affordable prices.It is a real satisfaction to write with these fine Swiss products. You have not to spend a fortune to get them, because there are beauty and classic models, with aluminum bodies and modern colors from some 20 bucks. Of course that you also can get models that cost above $2,000.In any case, the main differences in the most expensive models are in the precious construction materials or in a more ellaborated craftsmanship, but when writing, all of them share the same ballpoint refill, and it is a Caran d'Ache one. You deserve to use one of these fine writing devices.

Great refill for a beautifully balanced pen. Always get the original Caran d'Ache refill. I've used many pens; Montblance, Cross etc...and this one is the best. Seller is excellent too...DM

I write a LOT. This ink refill lasts a very long time. Writing feels smooth and easy. Good continuous lines - no skipping - on many different textures and qualities of paper.
