My experience with Moen is that if you have a problem, they will send a replacement part. That's why I looked only at Moen when I needed a new faucet.

Q: Does soap load from on top ?

The soap dispenser included with the Moen 87014SRS Essie Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Spot Resist Stainless with Soap Dispenser, Spot Resist Stainless is filled from the top of the counter, not by going under the sink. Q: does the faucet manually work without batteries?

No it does not. I thought it would, but when I hooked it up I didn’t have batteries. I had to go out and buy them in order for anything to work.

Q: Does the spray button stays on without holding it down?

Yes it does. To turn it back off you either turn the water off or switch the button again.
