I had no need for water resistance so I have not tested that. I will say that the gasket is a strand of silicone that will need to be slightly stretched for the 2 ends to meet. Aside from that, it's a box that worked just fine for my project.

I tried a couple of different brands of project boxes for electronics. I use this one for a raspberry pi 4. It was a tight squeeze, but it fits. I'd order a larger size next time. I drilled a hole for the power cord and caulked that up. It has been outside through the winter and early spring in WI. Very minor leakage (a few drops).Overall it has protected the Pi. Can't say the same for the boxes (diff brand) that I've purchased for the camera module. I'd but this again.

what can you expect from a box. it's a box...

The box seems to be doing good at the primary purpose of keeping the contents dry. However, after only a few days in the rain the screws started to rust. Now after a couple of months outside they look terrible. The rust has made it more difficult to open the box as needed.Better screws would probably get this a 5 star.

I used this to protect a boat solar charge controller- drill your own access holes where you want them. Seals tight, good price.

This plastic box does not have a clear cover as advertised. Otherwise I would have given it 4-5 stars. Picture and description clearly stated "Waterproof Clear Cover 156 x 91 x 60 mm"
