I don't use files much and based on my research, this rasp seemed to be a good value option. After using it on a project I concur. With the four different patterns to remove wood and durable metal fabrication, this should be sufficient for many projects. I would like it to be longer but that's just to make it more comfortable to hold. It's a good product and better value.

Needed a rasp to put an edge on limestone tiles. There seemed economical and perfect for my needs.they are ergonomic meaning appease to holdwhile working the tool. Seem well made as the attack the limestone tile edge without any hesitation. Came with two files/rasps. Have not been able to differentiate as between the two. Bigger than I was expecting. I got this as a present for my husband, he’s been into woodworking lately. He really likes it, and he said it works well! He hasn’t had any trouble with it yet.Came quick and as expected!

This style if file is the most useful for home and shop (yes, even business's) it holds well in the hand without cutting or scrapping your hands. A set of 2 for under $9.00 is a no brainier.Your Dad will be proud of you for choosing such a nice tool (and then surprise him with one as a gift!)I am replacing one lost in a move.Keep it lightly oiled (so not to rust) and it will likely last you a lifetime YMWV.There are some tools you just need to have on hand.

It's definitely not my U.S. made Nichols four-in-hand, but for the price it's ok for roughing out wood before getting to the fine work. The cuts need to come all the way to the edge, and they need to be angled in the direction of the cut, not straight up and down. But again, for the price, 3 stars. If you're using this, you're not going to be at the finer stages anyway, so it's of no real consequence...
