Super fast Macbook with plenty of ports
I'm not a fan of the price of Macbooks but if you can get past that, this truly is a great laptop. It's very fast and powerful. This is my main work computer, and I run lots of software throughout the day, such as Word and Excel, but also several browser windows with many tabs open, Slack, and Zoom with no problems at all. I also do video editing (Da Vinci Resolve) while everything else is running and still no loading issues. This is my first Mac with an M chip and I was worried I might run into software compatibility issues but I was able to transfer everything from my Intel-based Macbook to this one seamlessly. This has three USB-C ports and each one is capable of charging the computer or connecting to an external monitor, which is great. But this also has a proprietary charging port if you need an extra USB-C port and it has an HDMI port if you want to use that for a monitor. The charging cable also connects magnetically, which is nice because it'll pop right off if you accidentally trip over the wire. There's also an SD port, which is awesome for me since I do a lot of photo and video editing work. It's so much easier to pull the SD card out of my camera and download media to the computer or to another hard drive.I ordered the 16" model after using a 14" model for years and it took me a while to get used to it. This computer is much larger and felt way oversized for several weeks but I eventually got used to it. I still miss my old 14" laptop for portability though because it was smaller and much lighter. I still haven't taken this computer out with me because it's big and I'd rather just leave it at home. But the benefits of a larger screen is a huge plus. On the smaller Mac, I couldn't split screen and work out of two windows. The 16" model makes split screen possible, so I don't always need an external monitor. I'm far more productive with this screen.Another drawback of the size is the large hand rest area. I have to reach much further to reach the keys and my wrists rest on the edge of the laptop, which is a little uncomfortable.I wouldn't say one size is better than the other, just that each one has its benefits. The screen is huge. I have another 15.5" PC laptop and the screen on this Mac feels so much larger, because the bezel on the edges is very thin. Very little space is wasted here. The speakers are great and that's one thing I've always loved about Macbooks over PC laptops (or at least the ones I've owned). I have three other Windows machines and the speakers are terrible and sound tinny. But the audio on this Macbook feels like you're surrounded by the sound and everything sounds crisp and clear. You can hear the bass. The camera is pretty good, and much better than previous models (such as the 2019 model I previously used). It's not amazing and you'lll probably still want to use an external camera for higher quality video calls, but this camera is still surprisingly good. It does a great job of lightening up the scene in dark rooms.

Excellent refurb
Near flawless. Good battery life and the body of the laptop is in excellent condition. A few tiny indentations in the screen which I can overlook. Doesn’t affect performance or value.

Great computer, broken keyboard, broken customer service
So far, terrible customer service from this Amazon seller.I ordered a 2021 MBP 16" since it was 50% off for Prime Days. The condition was listed as "Refurbished - excellent". To be fair, the computer looks brand new; and so far seems to operate without a hitch. EXCEPT the bottom row of the keyboard doesn't work, save the letters V and B. It's not a software issue: I've updated the software, restarted in safe mode, run diagnostics, etc.The clincher is that an external Bluetooth keyboard works fine.I'd like to exchange it for a working model, but can't get ahold of the seller. Though their page says to send an email to their Amazon address, nowhere can I find that email. I've also called the Techdeals4less customer service number a couple times - no answer, a recorded voice telling me all reps are busy, then telling me to wait for the next rep, then immediately voice mail. I've left messages but my call hasn't been returned.I get that things happen, and that a certain number of items will be flawed. It's the way of the world. It's also why customer service exists. So buyer beware! You might get lucky with a great deal on a perfectly fine item. But if you get a lemon you're out of luck!

The best renewed purchase so far
I was hesistate to buy the renewed product at first but the price for a new one is just ridiculously high. After reading a few reviews, I decided to go with it. Just to clarify onething that it seems to be missing from other review, the one I bought was shipped and sold by amazon, and thus the experience may vary. The laptop arrived and I am very pleased with it; it's virtually brand new and no sight of abused. The laptop has 97% battery health. Keyboard has no sight of broken key. Screen, the most expensive part, has no scratch. Machine runs and the heat seems to be at a normal level. One thing to note, the product did not come with original packaging but it is not a big deal for me.On the other hand, the laptop did not come with mag-safe 3 cable and the power adapter is just a generic one. You may get the correct adapter but for me, they sent me a different charger. The listing said it comes with 140W charger but I only got the smaller one. I contacted support and they are very quickly to resolve the issue.

Wonderful decision
So I was very nervous about this - a referbed MacBook Pro was a risk. But it said "excellent," the specs were exactly what I was looking for, and the price was right. So I went for it.GREAT decision. This computer arrived in truly excellent shape. After a white glove inspection, I only found a tiny - and I mean tiny - imperfection on the case. That it. The display is mint. The battery rated itself at 86% health, which for a 3-yr old computer is pretty good. The machine functions perfectly and I feel like I got a great deal. Indeed, I'm thinking that for me anyway, buying barely used, like-new computers might be the best way forward. Thanks!
