Q: Does this come with a cover for the foil (in addition to the felt carrying case)?

Yes, a nice hard plastic cover to protect the blades and foil from damage. They are so inexpensive, I bought two, one for home and one for traveling. I use rechargeable AA batteries too so no expensive battery to change down the line. My last shaver like this lasted 5 to 8 years!

Q: Does this shaver have a sideburns trimmer

No it does not. Looked around for that, did not find any Panasonic travel shaver with double foil and trimmer. They have one with single foil but it doesnt get good reviews. Have never tried a single foil that works any good, it is something with the radius of double foil that gives a closer shave and catches also soft and longer hairs.

Q: Is this shaver also "Made in Japan"?

Mine is made in China. As is my home shaver ES7006 still in daily use after more than 15 yrs. Impressed by the quality of the blade and recharcheables on that model I went for this little travel shaver. So far it is holding up fine.

Q: Although a decent travel shaver, having a problem with it turning itself on, when the power slide switch is off. Any solutions for that?

have not had that problem. But seems easy to fix by removing one or both batteries from the shaver when it is put away after use.
