This is one example where the author came up with a beautiful cover in order to compensate for the lack of ...
The author may have potential and may know what he is doing but he is not an author. Such book should not exist. First of all, it is not a Do-it-Yourself book. It is a "This is what we have done book." There is nothing wrong with sharing his own experience but why mislead the reader from the beginning. I bought this book because I wanted information on how to do it myself, not on seeing a bunch of pictures on how he did it. They say to never judge a book by its cover. That is not quite true. This is one example where the author came up with a beautiful cover in order to compensate for the lack of content. I should have known better, being that it is a self published book. No publishing house would have ever published such a thing. The information (which is not very much) contained in this book along with the numerous pictures should have been put on a Website. A book is not a book simply because you write a few paragraphs on pages with a few pictures and bind the whole thing. And for the price he is asking! Buyer be ware, don't get caught like I have.

Quick look at DIY Solar & Wind Energy System by Eric Layton
This book contains many photographs but relies on readers accessing instruction videos on Youtube. If you want a wealth of practical information but do not want to watch videos on Youtube, then this book is not for you.Personally I found "DIY Solar Projects: How to Put the Sun to Work in Your Home" by Eric Smith to be a much more practical and useful book.
