Great!
I was looking for a way to quickly connect and adjust the tension for a hoist system I'd installed lo lift off my PU topper. The manufacturer of the hoister system supplied a really clunky method that you had to be connected with knots and an adjustable buckle strap. This was CLUNKY and nearly impossible for one person to connect. I found these on-line and thought they would solve my problem. Boy did they! Each ratchet even came with 8' of 1/4" rope and and extra snap hook! My topper is about 190 lbs. and these were more than adequate using 4 connection points.BTW, if you wanted to use different ropes than those supplied, these are so easy to make that change!

Just what I needed
Very easy to use. I am using it to hold up some bird feeders- a little heavy. Seems to be holding on to the rope tightly.

Ease of securing a rope to
I used my rope ratchet to secure one end of a clothesline to newly installed wooden posts I made. I have another rope ratchet which I used to secure the other end of the rope to allow me to pull the rope taunt as it sags with use and over time.So far so good as the rope is nice and tight but of course both rope ratchets are still new. Only concern I have is with the units being constantly exposed to the elements and how the components will hold up. Time will tell.

Works as advertised
We bought a set for one of our sun shades, it worked so well, we are ordering another set for our other sun shade.

Works well, more secure with the snap link than the hooks.
I have several other rope ratchets in this size, but those have the hooks on both ends instead of the clips. I’m thrilled with the way those have worked. I use them for kayak bow and stern tie-downs when car topping them. For this they are convenient and fast.I wanted one with the clips to make sure it would not come away from the kayak end when transporting it with my new car. The clips seem of decent quality, and appear to be stainless steel, though time will tell. My only complaint is that this particular ratchet is much stiffer to release and pull line through than my original two. Not sure if this is something inside or a difference in the line thickness it comes with. The lines look the same to me. Just a note, you have to secure the clip to the rope end yourself. This is not a problem for me, but I can imagine some will struggle to secure it properly.

Nice little ratchet
Using this to make temporary clothes lines. Works great to give just enough extra rope to hook and unhook the line and then tighten it up when we hang out a load. I swapped the rope with standard clothes line so didn't test the rope at all.

So Far, So Good
Using several to anchor a shade sail. Never knew they existed before but 3 weeks in they haven't given a bit. I'm impressed.
