It works exactly as they stated in my 2015 Subaru Legacy. Plug and play, literally. I really liked how they included a USB-to-C, USB-to-microUSB, and USB-to-miniUSB cables in short 3-4" lengths.If you want a super clean install, it's still better to wrap the cables up into the headliner. But this is a much simpler way to get power to your dashcam.

I purchased this dongle in order to operate a VIOFO A119 as a dashcam on my 2005 Infiniti G35. The dongle was easy to install and was compact enough to not cause any issues with positioning. I've had this for a few months now and have seen no issues with performance.
