Q: Will it fit an 8 x 8” housing?

This should work on an 8"x8" square housing. It is held in place by spring clips, so the fixture should have clip receivers to hold the cover in place.

Q: Are these lights UL listed for electrical code?

my son-in-law works for ul and put the covers up for me.... he says they are ul okay.... i really like them and they look great..

Q: Is this trim designed to work in a ceiling electrical box that is 8.25 x 8.25" square?

It fits my 35 year old Halo light fixture boxes. However, the glass is different and puts out noticably less light than my original trim glass unts do, so I can't use them. Only way would be to throw away all the glass pieces and put the old glass into the new trim. All I needed was the foam pieces that go between the trim and ceiling, but have never been able to find replacement foam in a store or online since the 1990's. Decided to buy these trim pieces to get the foam and new unchipped frames and new clean glass for each fixture in the house. After buying 2 to try, I discovered with the first one that the light is noticably less. Cannot pay this much just for the foam and frame and then have to replace every glass insert with an old one. Wish I could buy just the foam, or even the foam and frame without glass. If you don't care about the loss of light, they may be fine for you.

Q: I have the old square recessed cans that are 7½x7½ will these fit?

Yes, I too updated mine it’s actual 8 in. But you have a lil wiggle room. Love mine my house looks brand new.
