I’m on acreage and have tripod sprinkler heads that I move around the yard but hate getting wet. Now I can turn off the sprinkler and then move it and then turn it back on without having to go back to the faucet to turn it off.

These are well made and easy to install. The internal washer works well and there is no water leakage. They are very handy to control water shut off away from the faucet.

These shutoff valves are priced very well. They work as expected. However, with the gasket in place it is very hard to get it connected to your hose - it’s like the female end (where the gasket is) is about one (1) thread revolution too small.If you compress the gasket you can get everything connected.

Whether it is brass to aluminum alloy or stainless steel or brass to brass my well water will corrode the fittings and fuse them together. If in place long enough it will eat them alive. So by placing plastic between the male and female hose ends they do not fuse together. The shut off valve is nice but not necessary in my case but can regulate water flow. These are well made simple to use and come with washer installed plus 13 extra hose washers that come in handy.
