I bought this for my Firestick so i could add usb drive to it for extra storage. These work great, most of the ones i saw online were two split lines which added more length to the firestick. This allows me to keep it small and simple. Highly recommend!*Update* There is one con to this item, because of the way it plugs into the Firestick you have to use the HDMI extender. If they could just turn the micro usb male 180 degrees it would be perfect.

I've been using this device on my Amazon FireStick for a few weeks now and have only noticed a few minor issues. One being that when you attempt to unplug your USB drive from the device, it will sometimes cause the firestick to reboot itself. The other minor issue is that sometimes the USB drive is not recognized by the firestick and must be unplugged and reinserted. These are only minor issues and I have learned to work around them. Otherwise love the Adapter.

I'm using my old Samsung S5 as a music steamer bypassing its built-in dac by using Audioquest Dragonfly 1.2 DAC. Sound clarity is absolute, but power is weak when powering both phone and Dragonfly DAC. Other than amperage issue, the sound coming from the phone is fantastic!

I bought it to fix my firestick logo bootloop. The micro USB provides power but the USB 2.0 does not, so I can’t use a keyboard or a mouse. Waste of time, money and hope to have back my firestick.
