Great addition to any med student's education.
I was struggling to interpret radiology images during my preclerkship classes, and this book came to the rescue!Pros: Written to a level that any med student can understand. Very thorough descriptions and strategies for analyzing various types of radiology modalities (including ultrasound!). Gives enough room in the margin to write any additional notes. The images are clear and captions make them easy to interpret. The price is great, too!Cons: I wish some of the images were larger, but it isn't a problem overall. The ultrasound section left a little to be desired (not as thorough, but decent for an overview).

Excellent radiology text!
In NP school, we got minimal training in reading xrays (one afternoon with the radiologist), so almost all I've learned since then has been on my own via self study, and consulting with my esteemed physician colleagues. This book is so much better than the ones I've had previously! The explanations are thorough and understandable. The material is well organized-for example, there is a chapter with an overview of pneumonia, pleural effusion, and atelectasis; followed by a separate chapter on each of those topics going into more detail. The images are also much better quality than those in books I've previously used, so I can actually see the subtle findings they are talking about in the text.

Bate and Switch UPDATE IT WORKED OUT
I bought the Kindle version but the book still references access for online content (practice quizzes etc)I access the "instructions for online access" which has you verify that you purchased the ebook, from whom, and the ISBN number at the Elsevier website. It then asks for your name and email so that they can send you a verification code that provides access to online siteThe response is "there is no online content for this ebook" . I saw that the author has an online website that references this latest book and how you can have online access for practice quizzes etc. In trying to send my issue via "Contact US' I have to fill out a form template and I am met with an error that I need to make sure my address is filled out on the form. WTF? IT WAS! and there is no other way to contact the author except in this formatSo basically, on the Elsevier site and this Author's site you are met w/ a dead end.... Bate and Switch?? Beware!UPDATE!!! After my initial trouble w/ this purchase, I managed to get through to the Vendor (Dr. Herring, the Author is tremendous! I reached out to Amazon (dead end) reached out to Dr. Herring but also went to his website. Finally, we connected. Turns out it was a glitch in the software and now it works perfectly!) I highly recommend this book and the access he provides to on-line learning. Thank you Dr. Herring, you created an amazing resource! I use this everyday in my practice!

I would say this is just good hand warmer!
This book is easy, well-written, and organized for junior radiology trainees. I bought the Kindle edition, and I noticed that sometimes you got lost by so many narratives that had to be summarized. I am not sure this is true for the print version though.

An essential for med students!
I'm towards the end of my 2nd year in med school, wish I got this book sooner! It's an excellent book for med school students. What I find most helpful is for each organ system, there's a chapter for normal pathology, then a chapter for abnormal. It has the most common diseases taught plus info on them ie most common form of liver cancer, lung cancer etc. It also has chapters on computed tomography and various types of imaging and for what diseases/situations you'd use them for. Incredibly informative and has "overall picture" synapses. Excellent book highly recommended!

Great Book!
I am often disappointed at medical textbooks. This is a great book and I have learned a lot. I have reread it twice to get all the fine details from it.

Book content
Great and informative read. I am definitely more informed in the field of radiology, more than is required of me as a medical student.
