how does it compare with the VitaMix?

I own the VitMix and will say it is a very powerful blender, but as others have said it is very loud! Also, a couple other points I do not like about it: with the fixed blades, it is hard to get things like hummus and peanut butter out from the bottom of the blender; also the lid is about impossible for my mother to get off with her arthritic hands. In addition, my mother (who is 76 and not gadget oriented) found it intimidating to use as directed (ie. start on variable "0" setting, then immediately increase quickly to "10", then flip to high). The VitaMix prefers to run on high due to the extremely powerful motor, the Vitamix rep told me the trick to not burning out or overheating the motor was to get it into 'high' ASAP. Now, for the Ninja....MUCH easier to use, mom can even do it as the lid is quite easy to get on and off and there is only 1 button! It does a fine job on her smoothies, they are essentially the same as when I made them with the VitaMix only it takes longer, especially since the Ninja must be pulsed for no longer than 15 seconds or so, whereas with the VitaMix you can just let it run. I also have successfully made hummus, again, it takes a little longer, don't think I would try peanut butter, especially when I have the VitaMix that can easily handle nuts, although as stated, you have to use the tamper to push down the peanuts. But I love that the blades come out of the Ninja and I can easily scoop all the contents from the bottom of the blender. Plus the smaller 2 cup chopper makes very quick work of onions, and again, easy to get all the onions out as the blades can be removed allowing easy access to whatever you just chopped. Overall, I am very pleased with the Ninja Master Prep that I recently bought, and in fact I packed up the VitaMix and put it in the basement!

Compared to Nutri Bullet and Cuisinart CPB-300?? Thank you!

I have been a paid subscriber to Consumer Reports for about 30 years and rely upon their research and ratings for my purchases. The Ninja was at the time of my first purchase and still is at the top of the list, with 91%, as far as overall rating out of a possible 100% are concerned however your other choices, Cuisinart CPB-300 garnered only 62% and the Nutri Bullet 19%. What is the difference between QB1004 and QB900B? I am trying to decide which oone I should buy.

The QB1004 has a 450-Watt motor and comes with what they call a "40oz processor bowl" that I would call a shorter, fatter pitcher. The QB900B has a 400-watt motor and does not have the "40oz processor bowl" that I would call a shorter, fatter pitcher. I've used both models to make snow for snow cones out of larger ice cubes from ice cube trays. The QB1004 I used the "40oz processor bowl". the QB900B I used the 16oz processor bowl. Honestly I haven't used the 48oz picture from either model. These two model's PARTS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.

Will it blend raw carrots,beets and ginger?

You would probably have to use some liquid to help it out... that is, if you want a creamy blend. The machine will not make it into a juice as a true juicer would do. but it will make it drinkable if you use some liquid (water, etc.). I am vegan and i love the machine. i make salad dressings using cashews, artichoke hearts, raw vinegar etc. It makes a great dessert when i use nuts, fruit and dates and almond milk... and so forth.
