If you get the little package don’t worry they grow! Wow do they grow! They grow and grow. The candy cane I used made them pink. Use plastic. Ok so trial and error. My shells were too heavy and sank to the bottom. I would suggest buying the items made to put in them. Some other things I used were too light and kept popping up. I should give up on crafting! LOL but these things are COOL when done right!

I bought these to use for my daughters wedding and they were perfect. As soon as I received them, I put a few (like 30) in water and they did just as expected. They sat for almost 2 weeks and they were still going strong with a little shrinkage. I hydrated the rest the day before the wedding in a 5 gallon bucket, which ended up being about 1/2 way full of hydrated water beads. They looked beautiful at the wedding and many of our guests were asking about them.

I had 18, 7 inch tall wedding vases to fill and this package was more then enough. They were super easy, just throw them in water and they expand to a good size, and last a long time! I still have some in a plastic tub and have not added water in a month and a half. Would highly recommend.

First time using these. I wanted to use for an indoor plant. I added bottled distilled water to hopefully keep mold off a little bit longer. I started with a smaller bowl but realized my mistake when they started to grow. They stay pretty small but compared to their original size I would say they did as they were supposed to. I started to play with them and realized that the growth speeded up. They also grew faster when put in a wider dish so they had room to spread out. When pull hands out they left a slimy residue behind. I was curious as to what made of and the only thing I could find was polyacrylamide ( a polymer). I guess this stuff is same stuff used in make- up and other things in the U.S. It's not regulated in the U.S. but is in the U.K. due to if this breaks down it breaks down to acrylamide which is carcinogenic. Well, not sure if this accurate, but if anyone else has more info, I would so appreciate learning more. This stuff is amazing and fun, but I would definitely like to be sure that it's really safe like it's written on product description. I recieved two tiny bags and only used one to fill both different size bowls.

I ordered this to put my bamboo in , rather the rocks or potting soil, my bamboo seem to like it and it looks very attractive in the vase I have it in, I have also used it mixed in with potting soil with another plant to help keep it moist between waterings( in case I forget to water it) I was very surprised I placed less than a tablespoon in a jar and added water and it swelled up so fast and it covered the bottom and raised to the height of around 2- 3 inches up the sides of the jar I was impressed. when I run out ,I'll definitely order more. Maybe in different colors.

see Images.. got 2 packs placed one in container and hydrated with distilled water.. plumped up nice.. put holes in container top... placed in humidor... so much more cost effective then manufactured products... and I have another bag if and when these die.

It's cheap. It's what it says- except there is no way there are 20,000 beads. They came in 2 tiny bags with dry beads. Even though they do get about 20 times in size, they are only 1,000 beads in each bag. I figured that much from the pictures before I ordered them. That's why I ordered 2.

I didn't know how much water to use, I use one packet and one gallon of distilled water. It filled this vase and I still have at least a half gallon left of them for another vase. This was the 1st time Using them and they are so cool!! I let them sit in a bucket with a gallon of distilled water and by morning they were 100 times their size. It came with 2 packages but I only used 1. Awesome!!
