ULANZI OP-1 Handheld Phone Holder Mobile Bracket Set Gimbal Stand Tripod Mount w Cold Shoe Mount for DJI OSMO Pocket

I debated buying this for weeks and I have to admit I was largely swayed by all of the videos on youtube touting its cinematic video footage. It is true that the footage is impressive when taken in the right conditions, but the device is just too small to be practical; one really most use the mobile application to use it effectively. This is where the problem starts. The interface between the phone and the device is fiddly at best and is not really robust enough to use in most circumstances. So you are immediately driven to look at additional accessories, none of which are cheap. The fact that the device has no built-in Bluetooth or wifi is a major limitation.Then, of course, there is the extension pole, but then you begin to wonder if you would not be better off with a good gimble for your mobile phone.

It’s good for what it’s needed for, basic holder. Can be a pain to line up with phone so it slides in. But for the price it’s worth it. I use it without the phone as I need to external mic holder, works perfect

This product does the job intended but it could really benefit from some more careful designing, such as a simple release mechanism for holding the phone in place. That said, with the alternative being to just trust in the lightning connector to hold your Osmo Pocket securely to your phone (one or other is going to get broken that way, and maybe both) this is a decent solution and won't break the bank.

Love this on my pgytech tripod handle. The screw down holder is easier for access than the spring ones which can be awkward when attaching the dji osmo pocket.

Pete t for holding my phone and the DJI Osmo pocket together. I really like that it has a cold shoe adaptor on top to either hold a shot gun mic wireless system or for a lightning cube. A very well thought out design that fits perfectly into my tripods.

Just what I needed. Fits my sony phone and ozmo pocket with no problems. Would prefer a clamp for the pocket to be more secure, but I knew what i was getting when I ordered.

Great kit and a good addition

Better than expected. The Osmo Pocket holder was more grippy than expected and seems reasonably secure. The phone holder is well machined and looks anodized. The bracket holding the two together is more adjustable than I expected. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product. Do take time to align both though. That is the only fiddly part of the operation. Fits my Huawei phone within its protective case. Screws down tight. Won't budge with a knock.
