8 Piece Manicure/Pedicure Kit by 3 Swords Germany PROS +Excellent value, best among all kits I found (reasonable price point for an overall good quality product); +Optimal array of tools: nice solid quality and exactly the tools used most often (incl 2 grades of nail files and 2 different useful scissors); +Genuine leather case with leather loops to secure tools looks durable as long as leather tool loops are not abused; leather on case is plenty thick otherwise; +Solid zipper on case does not interfere with removal of tools like with some other cases; +Case size is reasonably small + good for travel. + Packaging is tasteful, and the high quality and general utility makes it a lovely gift for any gender. +Shipping was fast, arrived in 2 days. CONS: -While the toenail clipper seems right-sized and handles easily with its wider handle, the fingernail clipper with narrow jaws and tapered tail feels tiny and potentially more squirrelly (and maybe less durable over time? Hard to tell.). If I were keeping this kit for myself rather than gifting it, I might upgrade the fingernail clipper to a Seki. -Oddly, both clippers have a little chain attached to their tail end as if it’s expected you’ll mostly use them independent of the kit. This chain interferes with slipping the clipper back into its loop in the case, so unless you plan to carry it on a keychain you may want to remove the beaded chain. -Leather loops that hold tools could wear out if handled roughly when taking tools in/out of case, so caution is advised. I would definitely buy this product again.

This diminutive kit is fantastic for travel, or even at home. Well made selection of grooming tools, and a sturdy case. This kit is not a cheap Asian knock-off, claiming to be “made in Germany”. This is the real deal. You’ll get a nice pair of finger and toenail clippers. Although a generic design, they’re sharp, and the clipper jaws are perfectly aligned for snag-free, and smooth cutting. The file is a nice touch, as is the cuticle pusher. The small nippers and mustache/beard scissors are nicely made, and sharp. The scissors are the safety end variety (rounded), so a touch up on unsightly nose or ear hair is possible. The tweezer pair is also fantastic; splinters are easily removed, and stray facial hairs can be deftly plucked. In the market for a great gentleman’s (or ladies as well) grooming kit? This should be on your short list. Since everyone’s mileage will vary, I travel all the time, and work with my hands. The tools in this kit will definitely help keep your digits looking good, and well cared for. Another plus is that the case is really compact, so you’ll save valuable space in your dopp bag!

Get this. Ignore all those other cheap alternatives and just get this. You can feel and experience the quality. I had previously bought one of those cheap packs listed here and it started falling apart soon after buying it.

The case feels good and the clippers, scissors etc are all very high quality. I am very picky and was expecting to have to replace the nail clippers with my own but was pleasantly surprised that they are far from the normal cheap clippers you get in most kits.
