Mom hated fruitcake so as a kid, so naturally, us kids hated fruit cake too. Fruitcake became a joke in our house at holidays, kind of like the "Life" cereal commercial. Once I left the house and traveled the country (and the world), I started trying new things. I don't know where or when it was, but one year I had the opportunity to try Claxton's. I think it was on sale, and I bought some and gave it a shot. Whoa! This was actually super delicious, rich and sweet. The candied fruit (usually the part we hated) was actually tasty. Claxton's fruit is delicious, the fruit has a hint of that aroma and flavor that turns some people off, but not much. The candied fruit is delicious. Then there's the nuts and cake part, all tasty, nothing weird. It's also super moist. Sorry mom, I really like fruitcake. Is Claxton's high end expensive fruitcake, no, but it is high quality and worth every penny. They have a recipe that's iconic, I'm so glad they haven't changed anything. You can rely on the taste. Claxton's is a good fruitcake to offer people that hate fruitcake. The only problem is fruitcake haters a are pretty stubborn lot. You probably won't change their minds, but that's OK, they're missing out, Claxton's great!

Christmas last year was the first time I tried Claxton Fruit Cake. Some I've had in the past was not good, so I did my research to see what reviews people were giving for fruit cake. Claxton was at the top. I got a bargain price and decided to try it. This cake was more than delicious! The loaves are moist, chocked full of fruit and nuts. The taste was not artificial but like old fashioned fruit cake from years gone by. This fruit cake is not just for the holidays. It's a must have all year round. I will absolutely continue to buy this product.

Delicious!! Best fruitcake I’ve ever had other than what Grandma made. It was packed with a variety of chunky candied fruits and whole nuts, not just a mesh of raisins and an occasional cherry with a blend of indistinguishable crushed nuts. Surprisingly, this quality product was very fairly priced and a great value. A fruitcake that I had purchased from a local specialty bakery didn’t come close to the goodness and quality found in Claxston’s. Will definitely purchase again and plan to stock up. Highly recommend. BTW— I very rarely ever review products, but I was motivated to do so because this was so good.

Pretty decent fruitcake. Full of fruit and nuts. Nice and dense & moist. It's not the best fruitcake I ever had, but it's definitely not bad at all. I'll definitely be ordering this one again, as well as the light version to try as well. Fruitcake isn't just for the holiday! Great after dinner treat with a cup of tea.

This fruitcake is soooo good! Love the texture, not dry at all. Good value too. I highly recommend this fruitcake.

Yum, but a little, shall I say, aged. Still very good but a little dry. Maybe I’ll “soak” it in cheesecloth and bourbon.

Not what they used to be. Dry and not sweet enough. The chewiness and fruitiness are the same, but they may have slightly changed the recipe. Not for the better.

I usually make my own fruitcake this time of year, but decided to buy fruitcake instead. read the reviews. Bought one order of this fruitcake. Delicious. Fruitcake is time consuming to make and costly. this was worth the price and will be doled out to happy guests and even happier hosts.
