The ford ranger and other ford vehicles come with this long antenna on top of the truck. The antenna easily unscrews and this little stubby screws in perfectly.

I park in a building that has a low clearance and needed a solution to replace the antenna. This worked perfectly. Note: if you go to purchase one of these, make sure that you're getting the proper one for your truck or vehicle. Verify the year, make and model!

The stock antenna was too tall and the truck wouldn't fit in the garage. The Stubby is... stubby! The truck clears the garage door now and I don't have to sacrifice the radio.
