Fine product - good buy
I purchased two of these in different colors. They are both a fine product and as described. As far as a keffiyeh, scarf or shemagh, I would consider these a 'heavyweight' version. Kind of like a fall/winter scarf. It seems to be 100% cotton or close to it, with a heavy woven pattern. These are from the land of Ghandi-ji and are well-made. The comparison would be to the land of Mao, where things may not be of the same quality. Upon receipt, I hand washed both in cold water with a color-safe cold-water detergent, and pinned them up outside to dry. Which they did very quickly, according to the weave, design and purpose. The colors, although they bled a little in the sink, stayed clear and separate once dried. Mine measured 114x114cm, (45 inches) which is a little larger than the normal scarf of 1Mx1M. The size is well suited for this kind of scarf and I appreciate the slightly extra size. Bottom line? No color bleeding when properly cared for, no odor aside from my detergent/wash smell (nice), good size, woven cotton. I will buy more.

Well Made!
For the price, this was a heck of a deal. Got mine at the 4.95 price point on sale! It is well made and can be easily fit any need you may have for it i.e. head covering , neck wrap, arm sling etc. Even at regular price it is well worth the purchase. Great material.

GOOD stuff
nice piece of kit, it's been through -20 winters and 90 degree summers and i didn't find any problems with fading or staining of the dye, fairly large. i'm using it for all kinds of things such as a scarf, Bush pillow case, scope case, great for carrying cranberries but wouldn't recommend raspberries crumbles easily and used at a improvised haversack using 550 you can carry a light load without damaging the shemagh like berries, moss, and dry grass for tinder. they say theirs a 101 uses for a small bandana, imagine the uses with this well made Shemagh. a must have for your Bugout bag, camping trip, fishing trip, general fashion and for keeping the heat off your neck. made in Pakistan, good price WILL LAST A LIFE TIME FOR ITS INTENDED USE.

Seems decent quality.
I don't really have any previous experience with shemaghs to tell you if this one is great quality or not but it seems to be pretty nice. There was no weird smell or issues with it being moth eaten like i have seen in some reviews. Its a large square of loosely woven material. I don't think i'd stake my life on it being the greatest shemagh ever made but for my light use it has held up fine. I've used it as a head covering while working in the yard and even as an impromptu blanket for my toddler at a soccer game that turned chilly. It has held up fine with my light use and is a darn handy thing to have tossed in my every day bag.

Impressed, then disappointed
I'll start by saying most of what follows could totally be my fault. The shemagh shipped quickly and was here in no time. When I took it out of the package I immediately was impressed by the feel of the cloth. It was thick and felt well-made, the color was excellent. I got the blue/green combo, thinking it'd be good to wear on Take a Ninja Sailing Day. It was plenty big enough to wrap up as a mask. Then I washed it. I confess to not looking very hard for any washing instructions, but I don't think there were any. I did it the same way I've done my other shemaghs (from different manufacturers) - cold water, normal cycle, then dried on medium. The first thing I noticed was that it felt very different when I pulled it out of the dryer. The outer sections had shrunk considerably and left the larger center piece warped and coarse. It was too small now for anything but a simple scarf, and that only if you folded it into a triangle and only just barely. The pattern woven into the center was a mess. The second thing was that the wonderful color was gone. Here I make my second confession: apparently my washer is getting old and doesn't completely drain and rinse all the bleach from a load. I smelled it when I opened the lid. So, the color leaching away was probably 100% my fault, but I've never known a little bleach to shrink fabric. In any case, one wash and what was otherwise a very nice piece is now ruined. It may have all been me, but other than the bleach I've never had another shemagh shrink and warp like this one. I've ordered another and plan to treat it a little more carefully in the wash. I'll edit this if it comes out better the next time.

Huge but good
Really nice and seams like it will work great. It’s massive tho, which isn’t that bad just big like a toddlers blanket.

Decent Shemagh, Good Price, Versatile Accessory
I got a good price on these and they look good with desert fatigues or the old digital ACUs. They're thin material, not for winter protection but good for sun protection and keeping blowing sand and dust out of your nose and mouth. There are a lot of other potential uses for a piece of cloth like this in your kit, so I figure they're worth what I paid for them.

Superb Desert Protection
A Shemagh is a wonderful clothing item that serves many purposes. I am very fair skinned and living under a desert sun can be taxing and life-threatening. Sun screen leaves my skin and clothes greasy, dirty, and hot. Wearing a shemagh allows me to keep my skin in the shade and works better than a hat especially when the sun is near the horizon. Wrapping the shemagh around my face protects me from airborne debris in high wind conditions. Wetting a shemagh with water around the neck allows me to keep cool and continue trekking even under midday sun. Be sure to wash very well before first use to prevent dye from transferring to skin and clothing when sweating.

This is a VERY dark Coyote, having seen other coyote colours in stores, this is very much a darker colour. Returned ok though.

Great for a lot of different things. Material is thin enough to see through a single layer of it when close to your face, but most of the time you'll have it folded multiple layers thick I'd assume.
