I've gotten 4 of them Elena and have been totally satisfied. I shoot underwater images and video. As you know, the camera's a power hog but the batteries have not let me down...I'd say go for it!

Hi ampm247, there is no difference between the two. The ILCE7m2k comes with a kit lens. The ILCE7m2 refers only to the camera body. Thanks_Mitch

Don't buy a camera to fit a lens. Buy a camera and then the lenses to fit it. Typically mismatched major manufacturer products don't work well. 3rd party lenses MADE for a specific camera are OK; like a Sigma lens which can be bought with a Canon mount or a Sony mount. The major manufacturers are Sony, Pentax, Fuji, Nikon, Canon, and one or two more.

For legacy lens / manual focus shooters only, does the ibis really warrant getting an a7ii vs. an a7?

For me it does. At age 65, my hands may be a little more shaky than yours, but I've reached the point where I almost always insist on IBSI in my next camera. You pay for that privilege ... no doubt, but for me it's worth it. If price is a consideration, then the Olympus E-M5II has the best IBIS available, and you'd be surprised how close it really is in IQ and high ISO performance. But of course it's 16 MP vs 24 MP. I'm currently selling my A7II here on Amazon (look for M33Photo), after deciding to keep the E-M5II. It's like new with a very low shutter count and I always take great care of my equipment.
