In Italy, Polenta is a versatile alternative to pasta, bread, or rice, and is especially suited for meat dishes that have plenty of sauce. In northern Italy, it's as popular as pasta in the south. Traditionally the first cooking step required stirring for 4-45 minutes in a copper kettle over a hot fire. Pre-cooked Polenta eliminates this tedious chore, while preserving Polenta's ancient Italian heritage. There may be some water separation, but this is normal. I slice this into very thin slices and fry it up in some coconut oil or ghee, drizzle with some pure maple syrup and top with berries. Delicious!! If I'm in a rush I just cut a 1 1/2" slice, put it in a bowl with 1 tsp of ghee, and microwave it, stirring every 30 seconds, until it is a porridge-type consistency, and drizzle syrup on top and whatever else I think will be good. I also like it fried in thin slices, topped with sausage and peppers. If you don't cook it all the way through, it will retain the rubbery texture, which is why I make very thin slices, or microwave and stir repeatedly. Review: convenient, delicious, versatile - love the convenience of this polenta. slice, warm in the microwave or fry in small amount of butter/olive oil or fat of your choice. good with stew, chili, chicken, roast, etc. great with pasta sauce and cheese, delicious for breakfast with maple syrup (my dad's favorite) or fried seasoned with salt and pepper, and sprinkling of parmesan/romano. like another reviewer commented, it doesn't have alot of water in the packaging.

convenient, delicious, versatile

Easy to make and tasty
The serving is probably for two people or one person with a big appetite like myself. Was easy to make and tasted good.

Quick Meal Helper
We really like this. So glad we can get this through Prime Pantry. This polenta is easy to use and very quick to cook. Tastes good. If I am low on time and need something to toss in with some veggies I just open one of these. Not the healthiest option but I don't feel bad about eating something like this in moderation. We've never had trouble with a shipment. No pierced packages, no breaking. The price is about the same as what you would pay in any supermarket.

Delicious and Easy Italian Treat!
Delicious. Tastes like flattened Matzo Ball. I love it with Tomato Sauce on top and Nutritional Yeast...sometimes I add a poached egg. Yummmmmmm!

Love this product. I cooked them on a flat grill and service with eggs and chicken apple sausages for yummy weekend brunches.
