In the "about" it says it has auto shutoff. in the "technical details" it says it does not. which is true, please? thank you

How noisy is it? Will it disturb your sleep

To me it is not noisy and doesn't disturb my sleep, but my wife finds it hard to sleep with it on. To be honest it depends on the person....

Does it have to be positioned a certain distance from other objects?

Hi, yes. My Dehumidifier came with a very detailed Instruction sheet. Regarding where to position it, it says: “ Keep all objects 0.5 metre away from the front, sides and rear of the appliance.” ALSO: “The appliance must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet” or “in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool”.
