Edushape Wood-Like Soft Blocks, 30 Pieces - Nurture Imagination and Spark Creativity Toys Ideal Birthday Present - for Kids Aged 3+

Debated these because we already had magnatiles and duplos, and did we really need another building toy? Plus I wondered if these were too babyish for my soon to be three year old twins. So glad I got them. 1. They require a different skill set because they don't lock in place by magnet or form. I watched the twins having to figure out why this long piece wouldn't stay up, and how to place supports, what pieces would balance in a tower, and why some shapes wouldn't fit. 2. Allowed for more imagination.Pieces became houses, and then the house started to become a castle, and then it needed a walkway, and the walkway became the point and the castle went to a path they could balance on (pieces are sturdy.) Later circular pieces became wheels on a car. The car couldn't go anywhere since the wheels had no way to attach, but that didn't matter. 4. All buildings must come down, sometimes accidentally, and sometimes with deliberate kicks. These blocks hurt neither each other nor my floors as they go. 5. Plenty of blocks for the price. I saw both positives and negatives on this, but am mystified at what some could have been expecting. There were enough for both children to play happily. I suppose when they are old enough to build more complex structures this could change, but then I could just add to it.

Love these! They look like wood (very attractive) but are foam (or some approximation) and therefore are light, easily to take and travel, and the texture makes building easier -- a little grip instead of the typical smooth, hard wood block surface. My (just turned) two year-old does very well with them and retains interest longer because he is succeeding. Also, as they are light and slightly soft, when your kiddo eventually gets silly and knocks them down, no damage, no accidental bonks. =) Really great. Wish I'd gotten these before wooden blocks -- I'd have never gotten the wooden.

These blocks are wonderful when your trying to teach little ones about playing safely with others! We had a few incidents with students throwing around hard, heavy wood blocks and decided to make the transition to these soft, wood-like blocks until we can discuss and fortify the safe playing rules for the block area. Our students still love to play with these blocks and our teachers and aides are happy that no students are accidentally getting hurt.

Taking off two stars because of how expensive the blocks are. My son loves them and plays with them all the time. If not for the cost this would be a for sure 5 star product.

The idea of this is great, but the box has already changed shapes and now doesnt close how it should. Think of it like a very thin cardboard box. The foam pieces are really cute, but if your little ones chews on it, you will have permanent teeth marks.

This is a winner--fun for toddlers to 8 year olds who love to build and great for parents and grandparents. they look like wooden blocks but are safe for the kids and soft and quiet. They are light and come in a neat box with a handle for storage. My 18 month old grandson can carry it. and put the blocks in and out of it. And nothing gets broken when he throws it.

Really fun, not noisy, but only 4 stars because they attract every kind of dust/dirt/hair and need an occasional wipe down which is annoying. If you have pets I wouldn't recommend these unless you're okay with hair on everything!

My grandson absolutely LOVES these blocks. They are made of hard foam so they stack great for building stuff with them but they are soft and don't hurt and are not loud.

My 20 month toddler enjoys playing with these. They are soft and are a foam like texture. Fun to build and knock down.

These are the best building bricks I have seen for younger children of all ages, mainly because that are so safe for them to play with. The bricks come is an amazing assortment of sizes and shapes. My Gradaughter plays with them every time she visits. Because of the assorment of shapes it is VERY educational and interesting for the child. There are no small bricks for them to put into the mouth, and because of the material they are made of, they are sfe and softer for young ones to play with. My summary..BRILLIANT..I would highly recommend these bricks as a choice, as I was so happy with mine. Delivery was excellent also..

ça ressemble à des jouets en bois et c'est ludique comme des jouets en bois MAIS C'EST EN MOUSSE TRES COMPACTE : ca ne fait pas de bruit, ça ne fait pas mal quand l'enfant décide de le lancer sur nous (lol) et en plus , ce n'est pas de la mousse qui peut se décomposer ! Nous connaissons ce produit depuis plusieurs années en version couleur et tous les enfants l'adorent ! dommage que nous n'ayons pas trouvé la version couleur sur le site (ou ailleurs d'ailleurs) (pour un cadeau) JE RECOMMANDE CE PRODUIT
