Well, i don't really get some people they do complain about these Almay waterproof and eye makeup remover pads - too oily, to thin, they leave film, and bla bla....well, read what it is supposed to do and get regular liquid eye makeup and mascara remover instead, which is not oily and liquidy enough to rub off ur stubborn makeup! These Almay pads are the best invention, yes, it says : longwear and waterproof remover, it has to be oily to remove even the toughest lip paint, liquid long-lasting lip cremes, waterproof mascara and metallic tattoo or creme eye shadows! Definitely recommend, will buy again and by the way, i did try several different "longwear / waterproof makeup removers" - speaking about eyes and lips only!!! and none of the others worked so well and excellent! They do the job, yes, am removing the oily residues with a cotton pads or wipes, with facial tonic, cleansing water or make-up remover milk, and done! For a face makeup - foundations - remover - am using regular micellar cleansing water and cotton pads or wipes! Remember girls, these Almay pads are only for eyes and lips, but if you still deal with a tiny film/residues on or around your eyes, use a tonic or micellar water to get rid of these feeling! Since i love matte lip cream lipsticks and liquidy longwear colors/paints , (am not happy even with covergirl lip paint remover gel), am always having a tube of these pads in my purse, so can refresh my lips during the day! And yes girls, those who use longlasting and longwear lip /eye colors, know how much pain and rubbing off and time it takes to take off completely the colors and residues, so please, trust me!

This product does a great job removing mascara.

I bought this because I had bought some liquid eyeliners that I loved, but they were almost impossible to remove with my regular makeup remover. I have sensitive skin so it's hard to find makeup remover that doesn't irritate even with minimal sceubbing. This was able to remove ALL of my eye makeup with ease and I only used one and a half pads! I like that the pads are not super wet yet I don't have to scrub hard to remove anything. Really good at removing stubborn makeup with ease. It did leave a light oily residue, but I wash my face anyway at the end of the day so it wasn't a concern for me to clean off. I have recommended this to my sister who is way more into makeup than me and I'm hoping she likes it too!

This is a great make-up remover. I use one pad per eye for most of the make-up, then a third pad for to go over both eyes for any left over product. Maybe that is more pads used than other products, but the important thing to me is that with all the wiping, this product does is gentle on my skin & my lids don't hurt afterwards. My one negative is that although the cleanser does not hurt my eyes (always gets in my eyes because of my eye shape), the product leaves a film over my eye that I cannot blink away. It can last for up to an hour afterwards, which is annoying.

This product costs a fraction of the amount it should. This is by far the only makeup remover that can remove my waterproof mascara without extra lashes along with it. Super cheap. And yes it is oily but that is exactly why this product works so well. There is no scent and the pads it comes with are premoistened. Really glad I found this product and as an added bonus the oils have helped aid with my dry skin around my eyelids. I highly recommend if you want to remove waterproof mascara sans your natural eyelashes

Well these are crap. My daughter has been getting into makeup lately and we finally went through the bottle of eye makeup remover I've been carrying around for 10 years. I wanted these because they seem like they would be easier than the cotton ball and a little bottle of liquid. It took a few weeks for us to get around to using them, but I was stoked to remember them last night. She had put blush ALL over her face. I open this up for the first time and they are Dry! I dug down in the bottle 2/3 of the way to find one that was slightly moist. We used it to get a little bit of the makeup off but it didn't work great. She said her skin felt very greasy afterwards. These are going in the garbage. It's not worth the $4 to drive across town and return them, but I definitely won't buy them again.

I’ve read some reviews that customers didn’t like the oily nature of this product. I’ve used this product for decades and continued to use it after the formulation change. I’m meticulous in my make-up routine and this product is very effective. It removes the toughest ‘all-day’, ‘no run’ mascara and eyeliner with no pulling of skin. I simply form a pointed edge with my index finger and use the pad to first apply the remover on the pad, then with the 2nd swipe, remove the mascara and eyeliner easily. I’ve had professionals look at my eyelid under magnifying glass and they always comment how clean my lashes are. They often look twice because they can’t believe it! Love this product. If the product leaves ‘oiliness’, the oil is removed easily with my facial cleanser which ALWAYS follows.

It is "greasy" although it says it's not. It would have to be greasy to remove mascara. It takes me forever to remove every bit of mascara. You have to get all of it off or when you reapply, mascara won't go on right. The pads take most of it off. I am using two different kinds of mascara and just found out one of them is "waterproof" so I won't be using that anymore. Also, I realized that I was using "makeup remover" before so maybe that's why it was taking so long to get the mascara off. Anyway, this is the best product so far, but it still doesn't remove every bit.

I love these my eye are so sensitive and there help get the waterproof mascara off without burning my eyes like lot of other products do, I’m gutted I can no long get them as gone up way to much now stuck on what to buy that don’t burn my eyes

These remove even the most stubborn waterproof mascara without rubbing and tearing. No residue, no irritation. Will buy again.

I have been using this product from Almay for many years when I bought it in the high street pharmacies in the USA. It only cost about £8. Sadly you can’t buy it there anymore. I have tried many eye makeup remover products but nothing works as well as this one for waterproof mascara. I think £16 is a rip off though and can’t understand it.

I could not use it, it's too oily for my skin and I got a rash.
