This is a well-made climbing equipment that played a huge role in my last climb. If I use ATC when I grab the rope in panic, I wouldn't be here to tell you this story. It will allow for a proper rappel descent by applying more or less pressure to the handle, neither completely depressing nor completely releasing the handle that will only make you immobile. We all make mistakes, but in climbing a mistake can be deadly. This is an extra barrier of safety, recommend.

Very easy to use and very clear instructions

I've used a PETZL Stop Descender for rappelling and wanted a stop descender. This device worked backwards. When you squeeze the handle it stopped the rope, and if you released the handle you were able to move. It's supposed to be the other way around. Rope also does not thread well through mechanism. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Works great even for a beginner, no problems so far been using for 3 years now definitely worth the money

New to rappelling. Have used it twice. Good instructions and easy to use.

Sent back did not trust after seeing and playing with it. I ended up getting a mad rock. A little more but definitely feel safe

I love this thing. Easy to carry, attach, and SAFE! Attach your biner, thread the line per the diagram on the device, ASSURE IT IS CORRECT, test it on the ground before stepping off the ledge! The lever should totally control your descent. Fast/slow. That's it! Ron

The brake is TOO reliable. Rope does not pass through.
