OXO Good Grips Non- Slip Spoon Rest

I looked at every spoonrest, it seemed. I saw that a set of largish, kinda bowl shaped silicone spoon rests were popular, and I can see why. The silicone is flexible, easy to throw in the drawer when not being used, the several in the set allows for more spoon rests to be used ......... but despite all of that, I chose this one by OXO. Because the stainless steel is so durable, the size is generous enough (can fit a cooking utensil, plus the tablespoon I usually use for stovetop cooking anyway), and the low profile is perfect for fitting in the drawer. The silicone on the bottom is also a great feature. Yes, go ahead and get the silicone spoon rest with the slots for holding spoons on their side, for when you're cooking with several utensils at once ..... but for everyday use when you need a "regular" spoon rest, I think this one is THE BEST. I had my eye on it for years and was hoping the price would come down, but I finally bought it and I love the quality! It's super solid and has some weight to it. The metal polishing looks great, too. I truly love this spoon rest and I think everyone should have one!! I would put this in starter kits for young adults just starting out ---they can buy their own more stylish and trendy spoonrest if they want, but, if they start out with this one, at least they will have something functional which will take away their worries, at which point the fashionable spoonrests will seem more silly to them, amIright?! Anyway, I am super pleased with this spoonrest and I think everyone should have one, so I highly recommend!!

It's very light. It's also fairly large so fits multiple spatulas. Non slip and looks stylish. Does a perfect job.

I like this spoon rest. It's stainless steel so it's dishwasher safe and food safe. The picture makes you think it's bigger than it is, (but the dimensions are listed). I like the non-slip bottom also. It's over priced for the size, in my opinion. UPDATE: This spoon rest is best for smaller spoons, like to taste while you're cooking; not while using a large spoon to stir while cooking, or a dipper. I won't buy again. It's good quality, tho.

The metal is nice and thick. The non-slip bottom is appropriately non-slippy. Cleans up easily. I wish the sides were just a little taller.

My utensils were always falling off spoon rests. This flat “spoon rest” is sturdy and holds more than one utensil at a time. Great size, not too big at all. Cleans up easily.
