Hayden Automotive 1011 Power Steering Oil Cooler

I bought this because the power steering cooler loop on my F150 was leaking and since it’s built into the ac condenser I would have to replace the whole thing. I just cut the lines to where it connected to the old cooling loop and connected it to this cooler, mounted it in from of the end of my trans cooler and it has been working great! Simple, easy, and cost effective solution!

I was having issues with my power steering fluid boiling on the race track (my car does not have an oem cooler). Added this cooler and some synthetic ATF fluid and the next time on the track had no more problems. Unit is small and light weight so its easy to mount anywhere (be careful it is a bit fragile). Great value for the price as well.

Once this oil cooler was rather to install on mine with a 1" x 1" aluminum ell & easily was in placed to attach for the cooler. The rubber lines spliced in the oil cooler lines & with a filter to keep any debris getting back to the steering pump. Great a cooler with less oil hot & a great product for a long time for the filter with change recommended by certain performance companies around 15K to 20K miles.

I have installed several Hayden coolers on various vehicles over the years and have generally been happy with the price point and cooling they provided. This was the first one that let me down. The included hose was 5/16 rather than 3/8 so I wasn't able to force it over the barbs on the cooler without mangling the fins on the cooler in the process of trying to force it. I ended up having to use some 3/8 hose I had on the shelf. The package also only included 2 ties rather than 4; even though the cooler is small 2 ties isn't sufficient to keep it from rocking and rattling against the radiator.

Hayden is an old-line product that is well known. The quality is excellent, and it was a GREAT value from Amazon.

Power steering cooler seems ok a lot smaller than what I was hoping for. I gave it a low rating because it was missing 2 of the 4 anchors. Product had been opened before selling to me. I am sure I could have received a replacement but summer is ending soon and I want my bird back on the road I bought replacement anchors from O'Reilly's cost an extra $7.00 but can't wait and not shocked can't count the times product comes short parts. I wasn't saving money going through Amazon but was getting it quicker that is why I purchased missing parts
