important book on an obscure but fascinating topic
this book concerns a series of drawings that are somewhat obscure but play a significant role in the history of the representational and abstract pictorial image. it accompanies a rare exhibition, which is itself a significant event. the essays are excellent and book design is gorgeous.

Gorgeous art, well presented
The art is printed very well, and I appreciate the variety in the works chosen. I could wish for even more information than given, but these being mostly informal works, there likely isn't much background to be had. The book itself is sturdy and easy to look through; a very good showcase!

I know the art works are amazing...
But.The book was just too depressing for me. Every image screamed death, in my opinion.Thank you, good-bye.
