I've had this floppy hat in brown and decided to grab a black one as well. It's so cute and fits me perfectly. The felt is fairly thick, and I store it with the brim flatly on a shelf, so it keeps it shape. It does fold up so you can definitely put it in a suitcase if you are planning to travel with it. Good purchase, and highly recommend!

Bought the brown a year ago and have LOVED it. Just got the black one in today and the brim is a little uneven and wrinkled. Quite frankly it just doesn’t sit the way the brown does but I’m gonna try steaming it a little to hopefully smooth out the wrinkling.

I wanted to like this hat. I really did. But it's more Jed Clampet and less Annie Hall. Other than that the color is nice and the material feels pretty good.

I’m prepping my costume for our renaissance festival and I’m going as a pirate. I’ve made another pirate hat before from a black floppy hat and it turned out amazing so I knew I could do it again. This floppy hat had the perfect width brim and I can’t wait to wear this! It was lovely before I messed with it, so if you’re looking for a felt floppy hat, this could be what you’re looking for!

This hat comes folded up in a little plastic bag. So it has wrinkles and creases that don’t come out. The worst one is at the top of the crown and it is pointy. I will be trying to steam them out, since it is a wool hat. If that doesn’t work, it will be going back.

Turned into hat for pirate costume. Was worried it would be too small but fit perfectly and holds up well! Good quality for price!

This hat is very cute and the brim is not to wide however it is very flimsy. To make the brim stiffer you will need to use spray starch and a steamer or iron. Lay the hat on a flat surface to dry and you got your self a very nice looking stylish hat.

Cute hat as is, but great for use in cosplay or costume projects! If you need a pirate hat, tricorn hat, or just a slightly different shape, you can definitely use this as a great base and mold it by hand with steam or hot water :) just let it dry in the sun for a day or so! Can verify it's actual wool based on how well it took the dye. Speaking of: it dyes well. The colour was a close match to the costume I was making (see the first image of the costume's concept art), but was slightly too bright in hue for the fabric I purchased for the rest of the outfit. However, I was able to easily dye the hat a deeper shade of red with a tiny bit of Rit black and green dye, a large metal pot, vinegar, hot water, and dish soap. I was also able to mold the top of the hat while it was wet into a more tricorn shape by hand on a foam head (the green tape you see is where I added fabric and cotton to the head so it closely matched my own measurements). I sewed the brim up and into shape as well. Over all worked great for my project!! Side note: the gold details you see is iron-on vinyl and not included in the purchase.

Love this hat. First hat ive ever bought online so i had my doubts but it fits perfectly. Great style. Well made. More hats please!

The brim wasn't as big as I had hoped, but overall is a lovely hat.
