I hadn’t had a sandwich toaster for decades, but woke up recently craving a ‘ham sarnie. This was delivered less than 24 hours later. It’s just as good as the Breville equivalent, it’s a good interior size, it toasts to a perfect temperature, and it churns out delicious toasties. Great product at a great price.

This product is very good and affordable also doesn’t take much time to get the toast done and easy to clean.

Great toastie maker! Does the job well! The reason for 4× instead of 5, is because the appliance is deep fill, good feature, except the size of the compartments are NOT the size of normal (UK) bread! I have looked everywhere for square, big square, bread!! (Great bonus activity, I really wanted to go to 4 supermarkets, looking for "big square bread"!) Really would love to know... has anybody else found this same issue? I didn't read the other reviews, so I may be saying what everyone else is! Anyway... It is really good and makes nice toasties that aren't closed on the whole of one side lol. And very easy to clean except for a weird gap (explained below). I will try to add a picture! The only other problem is that there is a weird gap between where you put your (BIG) bread, and the handle, and it looks like it's made like that, so you can pull the plates out to wash them. However, they were in there so tight, and I didn't want to break it! So if anyone knows if the plates come out that would be great!! Other than that gap, very easy to clean!!

A basic model which suits me fine. It's easy to use and makes good toasted sandwiches.

I loved this when I first bought it, although it was a hassle to clean with just a wet cloth (tip : heat it up before wiping). Contrary to the many one star reviews, it does seal even small pieces of bread which do not reach the edge of the square (tip : cook for not less than six minutes, but definitely less than seven as it will then burn and be very hard to clean). Do NOT burn a sandwich as the crud is very hard to clean off and likely damages the non-stick coating. HOWEVER : I have had this gadget for eight months now - for the first couple of months, I would use it two to three times a week, generally just on one side - and since then, less than once a week. I have always been careful to wipe it down only with a wet dish cloth (no scourers, no detergents). However, after about five months, sandwiches started to stick, and then the black non-stick surface visibly wore off the central ridge (little white areas) and the middle of the sandwich gets completely stuck to this. I can now only use the right side, which has had less use and still retains its non-stick surface. SO : the non-stick surface does not last more than a few months, and now, trying to extract a sandwich that is stuck makes the sandwich fall apart, and I will have to get a new one once the right side wears out as well.
