The only minor downside is that adjusting it requires an Allen key; I wish there were a built-in adjustment mechanism. That said, once set up, it stays securely in place and functions perfectly. I recently built a new stand/enclosure for my cnc machine and needed a new place to put my laptop when I run projects. When I found this item, saw the price, and read a lot of great reviews I figured it was worth a try. Also, I asked a couple questions on the item listing and several people gave answers that were helpful in making my decision to purchase this item. If you happen to be one of the people who answered my questions, thank you!!🙌🏻 I changed the way it mounts. Instead of assembling the clamp-on parts of the unit, I just used its holes and mounted that directly onto the frame of my cnc enclosure (which is simply framed with 2x4's). This is PLENTY secure, and the arm moves around easily and I can also swing it out of the way enough for me to pull my welding cart out if I need to. I did notice when the arm is swung over the right (so that i'm standing side by side with the cnc machine), it has a little more bounce/play but if I swing the arm around so that I'm standing directly in front of the cnc machine, it's much more solid. It's probably because of the way I mounted the main pole part to my cnc enclosure. It's not a big deal at all and I'll probably just make something to secure the top couple inches of the vertical pole to the enclosure as well. This will eliminate any right-leaning play. Overall assembly was easy, but the text/diagrams in the instructions are pretty small and a little difficult to make out but I got through it and ultimately emerged victorious. The cable management clips are nice. They're definitely helpful. This item is exactly what I was looking for to use in my shop with my cnc machine.👍🏻

Excellent mount for the price, it does everything I need and does it solidly. This mount does not wobble around with my laptop which weighs approximately 10 lbs.

Think about everything you want in this type of product, and it has all those things. Flexible tray where the laptop goes so tilts forward and back. Bendy point on the horizontal arm so you can rotate it. Flexible point where the horizontal arm meets the vertical pole. Very nice size clamp so you can secure it to a variety of surfaces. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is every one of the flexible points where you SHOULD be able to tighten it so it doesn't move, cannot be tightened enough to actually prevent it from moving. Disclaimer, I use this in my car, so I don't actually want this thing to move AT ALL once it is in a position. If I am driving and take a corner or a bump I want it to stay where I put it, and I have had to resort to super gluing the joints to keep it in place, and this has worked. So, doesn't work perfectly without help for the unconventional way I am using it, but is heavy duty, constructed well, has all the flexibility options you could want, and is easy to install, so 5 stars would recommend to everyone. Great product.

Easy to setup, great for my macbook, very sturdy making me comfortable that my laptop wont fall off. I have noticed at times that the screws on the bottom become a tad loose at times but just a sleight tighten and its good to go

Just installed this on my sit and stand desk. Love that there are multiple ways to mount it and that they are all very sturdy. Appreciate the detail of having a space to hold the Allen wrenches so that they don’t get lost. Would have been nice if a small wrench and Phillips driver were included to mount the laptop tray.

Very happy with this for the price, easy to put on the desk and seems strong and stable, has no issues holding up a heavy gaming laptop. No overheating issues either.
