Hunter 36 inch Small Indoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Pull Chain - Modern Ceiling Fan, Standard Mount, 3 Blades, For Bedroom, Home Office, or Laundry Room, Quiet - Aker 59301, Fresh White

This is a Hunter fan, which I find to be generally of high quality overall. The fans span is very small compared to most others, but it moves aire very well and the included LED lights are very bright! I installed an existing Harbor Breeze fan remote and controller I already had from the old fan, and it works perfectly. It has 3 fan speeds, and the LED bulbs were included, and works perfectly with the Harbor Breeze dimmer remote I installed. It was also under $100. on Amazon- (Home-depot lists it for about $20-30 more!) The last fan I replaced had 5 blades, but in my opinion, I do not notice a big difference in the fans cooling; I was worried having 3 very short/stubby fan blades would decrease it's coloing ability, but I am really shocked as to how well it works. It does look a bit "stubby" compared to my other, much larger fans, but I do find it attractive. My favorite surprise was how bright the lights are. My last fan had two bulds as well, but it used weird "candlelabra" bulbs, and gave off very little light. I found it very annoying. It also is much more "green" than my old fan, so I will liley recoup my investment quickly if I upgrade a copule of other older type fans. I like this fan so much I may replace my office fan with this, and maybe my master bedroom. I installed it myself, (I do admit I'm very handy- (Contact an electrician if you have any doubts). The instructions were well written. Though I definitely recommend installing the blades onto the motor unit BEFORE you hang it... It would be far more difficult to do this step it after it's hung, like the manual instructed. It appears to be balanced already, so I did not need the included balancing kit, and it's pretty quiet when on low or high. A little bit noisy on medium fan setting for some reason, but nothing I'm concerned about. It does not include a remore dimmer/light switch, but you can pick up a Hunter or Harbor Breeze brand prety cheap online. Definitely worth getting a dimmer, as it is very bright. Came with too downrods which is fine for most ceilings bit you may need to buy a longer one if you have a ceiling with a strong pitch/slope.

*Update* The fan and the dimmer didn't function properly even with the new dimmer switch. We put in on a regular light switch and it is now working perfectly. However, now we are unable to use the dimmer functionality. This isnt a big deal to us so we still like the fan. This may cause some issues for some buyers that aren't very electric savy.**** I purchased this ceiling fan for my husband's small home office. He set it up in about an hour and said it was the easiest fan to set up. We liked the modern and compact look and it functions just as well. The light is bright and the fan is very quiet but powerful. We did need to upgrade our dimmer switch to be compatible with the ceiling fan. We also like more of an amber glow so we used our own bulbs. Overall, a great update for our office.

I bought 6 of these during a recent price drop and have installed 4 so far. Very happy with them. "Cute fan" is the first thing people say when seeing these small and compact fans installed. I had none of the negative issues I've seen mentioned in many other reviews. Assembly instructions suggested hanging the motor first, then installing the fan blades and light housing to the hanging motor. That looked awkward to me, so I fully assembled the fans on a table before hanging. Super easy. A magnetic philips screwdriver helps to hold the screws while guiding them through the box of wires when fastening the light housing to motor housing. Small fan with only three blades, so these fans are super easy to hang fully assembled. One time while removing the tape holding the pull chain to housing's exterior, the chain slipped back into its hole and required several minutes to fish it back through the hole. Each fan replaced an older fan in my 60 year old house, and each with different mounting issues. The provided bracket worked great each time. I did have to find some machine screws and nuts for attaching one bracket to a ceiling fan junction box but everything lined up nicely. The glass light globes are very solid and heavy, and securely screw into the metal light housing. Their weight holds them in place and prevents them from unscrewing themselves as some reviews suggested could happen. But definitely be careful when unscrewing the glass globe in order to access the fan reversing switch inside since globe's shape isn't easy to handle. And make sure globe is screwed in all the way so it drops back down into its secure position. The glass globes are very thick and somewhat milky white, so they do seem to block some of the light from the bulbs inside, but not too much. The provided LED bulbs are very bright, normal sized bulbs, and 3000K, not too yellow but still a nice warm color. Little light is directed upward to wash the ceiling, so this does create some glare in a dark room with no other light sources. The pull chains work nicely and don't rock the hanging fan too much, or enough to cause me concern that the glass globe might come loose. The assembly instructions confused me at first because of the many different installation options shown, but after the first fan, the other 3 went together fast. Actually, I kept thinking that these things were designed very well to be both very nice looking and easy to assemble and install, depite what I've read in other reviews. All of the fans wobble a tiny bit, but not enough to be terribly noticable. I reduced one's wobble a bit with the simple easy to use balancing kit. Three speeds. Very fast high that pushes lots of air in our 13 x 13 bedrooms. Medium seems too slow and could be a bit faster. And low is very very low.

We had this fan installed in our small condo bedroom. It has been amazing, quiet, its got power and its modern looking. Very happy with the quality!

Fan was installed just over my fireplace, it is very quiet and really moves the air. I had someone else instal it and was very easy. I also had a universal remote added for convenience and love it.
