With the availability of SDHC and SDXC cards and the dearth of SXS cards, this is a great solution for my new-to-me Sony EX1R. IT works great for day to day recording where I don't need RAW or ENG formats.

Good substitute for Sony's proprietary SxS chip. Make sure you use a FAST SD chip with this adapter.

Confirmed to work with Sony's PMW-EX3, but I've only been able to format SDXC cards to 79GB (Cards must be formatted in-camera and limited my 256GB card's primary partition to 79GB). Not sure if this is a limitation of the camera or the adapter - don't have another SXS-based camera to test. Did a test recording at 1080p 29.97 HQ (Long GOP 35 MB/s) until the 79GB was full. Just over 5 hrs of straight recording time with zero errors. Will update if I come across any issues.

After multiple attempts the card will not show up on this camera. Disappointed

I would do 5 stars except inserting the SD card is not as easy as most adaptors. But they work and the price is decent!

did not work with XDCAM Sony PXW-Z280

Just make sure you dont clumsily put it in the wrong way as I did! Works great.

This is great product and work in all pmw and pxw camera But price is bit high Same product in scandisk is price 4000.

Worked with Sony EX3. The first SD card I tried was picked up by the camera but it refused to format it. However I swapped to a different brand 128GB and after formatting it claimed 480mins of recording. Think that might be enough. So much cheaper and better than buying the SXS cards. I use the camera for live streaming so recording on-board isn't necessary. However at this price and an abundance of spare SD cards, I now have a backup capability without splashing lots of cash.
