Couldn't be happier with the unit.
I wanted to add a note to the review I submitted shortly after I received the unit. Since then, the unit has been running constantly and continues to do just a great job. What I wanted to comment on today was the extraordinary service I've received from the company. A couple of weeks ago the light indicating I needed to check the filter came on. Turns out the filters were fine but the dust sensor needed to be cleaned--which is quite easy to do.I had followed the instruction to reset the button. The unit was working fine but the filter light was still flashing. So I wrote the company asking if they could advise me. I tend to be a night owl and I sent the email fairly late in the evening. Well, within an hour or so I had already received an answer suggesting I go through the process again and a note of apology for any inconvenience.I then receive a follow-up email asking how I made out. I said the light was still on but no real biggie. Again, the unit was working just fine, with the exception of the blinking.Again they apologized and said they were sending me a new unit and an extra filter. Quite honestly, I was just blown away by the quality of the service and the fact that the company actually cared. There's simply to little of that these days.My family owned a small hobby, shop which we all worked in. I remember my father always telling me the only thing we had to offer different than any other business--particularly the big box stores--was service. Well, this company embodies my father's lesson and wisdom. There unit really does works as advertised. As far as I'm concerned, the company works better than promised.Couldn't be more pleased with the unit. Was delivered on-time; filters were a cinch to install--just remember to take them out of their plastic bags. Controls are intuitive. I suffer badly from allergies--this season seems particularly awful. The unit has been running continuously since i plugged it in and fired 'er up.It's almost dead quiet on the low setting--very quite on medium and more than tolerable at full blast--although it does make some fan noises. Even at its noisiest it is still quieter than most of the other units I've had over the years and I've had a bunch. I am using it in a bigger space than it is rated for--some 60 sq. ft or so bigger. No problem with the unit's handling it. I do, however, have 8 foot ceilings--it may make a difference but i doubt it would be much. It's a studio apartment and it handles the cooking odors as well. I also like the fact that it doesn't have lights--blue, green, red or otherwise--to bother my sleep. I like dark rooms at night and I'm forever putting tape over the glow lights on everything. The unit was new to Amazon. What few reviews it had were all good at the time--and reviewers were kind enough to answer a couple of questions Ihad. I liked the look of the unit and the fact it vents through the on top and not out the sides--although I admit I was also drawn to it by its slightly lower price compared to others in the range. The company has sent several emails asking if I had any questions and was I happy with the unit. Customer service is important and I get the feeling that if something were wrong they would actually do something about it.I've had the unit less than a month, so I can't vouch for its quality over time. If there's a problem, I'll weigh back in. If not, figure I continue to be pleased.

Just bought my second!
This is a fantastic air filter! I bought my first after moving in to a new apartment that was still under construction. My apartment still smelled like paint and glue for the few months after moving in due to out-gassing. If I turned on my Levoit LV-PUR131 in any room and left for 10-15 minutes, then I could notice a very distinct lack of toxic smell accompanied by a hing of 'freshness' (not sure how else to describe the clean air smell. I bought a for more Levoit models for my other rooms in my apartment but this model is by far my favorite.Pros:1. Great air flow!2. Can turn on the blue display at night3. Has a 'Sleep Mode' which runs a low setting is virtually inaudible4. Reliability: my first model is on 2 years of 9 hours of use every day. That is over 1,400 hours with no issues!5. The highest setting is still quiet enough to have on in my office while having a meeting.6. The unit has an auto-shut off timer.7. The unit also has an 'auto-mode' that can sense dirty ait and adjust the fan speed as needed. While I do not ever use this because, apparently, my air is clean enough, it is nice in theory.8. Available in wifi enabled and not: I have the' not' to reduce EMF radiation9. The filter are affordable and last a good while. The two filters (HEPA and Activated Carbon) are sold as one!ProTip: I have it on an outlet timer to turn off automatically in the morning. When the timer turns on, the unit beeps/chimes so I remember to turn it on.Cons:1. The unit is a bit bulky2. The buttons are actually some kind of touch sensor (Pro?) and the white paint indicating the power and speed button has worn off of my original unit. Coconut oil was the main culprit in removing the paint/markers.3. The air flow is close to a 45 degree angle output from the top of the unit. I actually don't view this as a too much of a con but directional airflow would be nice.... seeming like a I had to make up the cons? I did, I love this air filter!Do yourself and your lungs a favor and get this air filter!
