Did a lot of research before buying this and we also have a 2 slot version at work which is substantially made. I bought the shiny polished version which looks great and it is easy to keep clean too with a quick wipe down. It toasts evenly and quickly and the brown and lift function is great. I like the minimalist look and every works. The only little niggle was that the browning controls are black and it is difficult to see what setting they are on, but easily remedied with some white paint or nail varnish to indicate the setting. This should be done by Russell Hobbs as black on black may look cool but is not functional! Otherwise a well made and good value toaster.

The toaster is a large size but works very well. The toast is evenly cooked. Looks smart as well.

Good value for money. You have to use it a few times for it to start toasting your bread properly.

Does exactly what it's meant to perfectly

This is a shiny toaster, wide looking slots, very smart. Downsides..it’s not deep enough to toast a full slice of bread. So not even toasting. Slots could be wider. It’s not great for croissants, even small ones split in two. Crumb catcher catches some small crumbs but cleaning out the lot that don’t fall through is impossible without dismantling the whole toaster if that can even be done. I’d look for a better one but not online. Some things just need to be seen in life first

This Russell Hobbs toaster arrived promptly and is easy to use. The bread browns evenly. The slices of bread will fit the slots on their side, rather than upright, giving good even browning. Also good for frozen bread. Very pleased with my purchase. Although NOT advertised in the product description on Amazon, this toaster actually comes with a 2-year warranty that is extended to 3 years when registered online with Russell Hobbs. This makes me wonder why I bothered to pay the optional 3 year breakdown warranty advertised on the page by Amazon. If I'd realized, I probably would not have purchased the additional cover, even though it covers accidental breakage. It would be good if the toaster product description included the manufacturers warranty details.
