Assimil German With Ease: Book + 4 Cds

If you want to learn German by yourself , then this book is a must for you....the lesson are all organised according to daily conversation and you do also have audio CD's so you can purnounce the words at written in book..!!! I am giving it 4 stars because I received two audio CD full of scratches.. but later I replaced it.. And Amazon delivery is on time and packaging was good..

The product comes with 4 CDs, but the pack I got has CDs with scratches and only one of them was readable, because of scratches. On the other hand, the book has a poor and broken printing, like that of a broken typewriter or a pirated novel, making it hard to read for extended reading sessions.

Proven material and method. Easy manageable lessons accompanied by audio helps to retain and proper pronunciation.

I had learned German with Assimil years ago, became proficient and then I let it slide. I decided recently to re-learn it and ordered this book. It is a newer edition and I found that the lessons became advanced very early on. Words are not repeated very much to help you review and absorb what you learned. Unless you have a photographic memory, I would not recommend it.

I thought this was an excellent method of learning up to around A2/B1 level. What you put in you get back out. I used this then went onto Linguaphone intermediate German. Worked fine for me.
