Worked well for making unicorn cake for my grand daughter. Had no problem getting cake out of pan. I did flour and grease well before putting batter in. For the price it’s good. My decorating skills could use some work but that’s on me!

For my monthly book group gathering, I made a carrot cake in the shape of a book! This was the first time I had tried a cake mold - it needed to be baked over a pan of water to ensure that the inside got done enough without the edges getting too dry. I also generously greased the pan so that the cake would not stick. The surface indentations (indicating pages) were not very noticeable, but I intensified the lines using cream cheese frosting. This was also the first time I experimented with fondant - it was easy, except that the fondant tends to stretch, so it is tricky to get even edges. But the cake turned out moist and delicious!

This cake pan worked wonderfully! It made my cake look so fanciful and fun! Would definitely recommend!
