I've compared different grills, this is the best! Qpot status fam
Ive bought several kinds of kbbq grills and this is the one fam. It sits nicely and tug on the gas stoves, the oil and grease that falls into the holes doesnt stick hella bad or make a mess and its super super easy to clean. Literally just washes off compared to other grills where it crusts and you have scrub it off. This actually works very well and doesn't evaporate all the water below and make the cleaning easier. The grill top is also very very good. Its thin and light but surprisingly does not get burned or crusted easily. Super non stick, just be sure to add butter or something before you add your meats but this work too perfect i was amazed. The little grill change tool is also a fun thing to show your friends they all laugh and treat you like a gen/qpot employee. But I didnt ever use it because guess what, the grill never had to be changed, I swear LOL. Amazon reviewer advice: I know I may be boasting about this more than someone should but Im adulting and little things like this amaze me and make me happy hahaa just finally finding the perfect kbbq grill. But my review can be trusted because look at how improper my review is but how real Im trying to be. Just saying ;P But I'd highly recommend 100/10. Im about to return my other grill and buy another one of this so I can have 2 of these grills.

Superb Iwatani BBQ plate; a good experience at the table for both party guests and the occasional family dinner.
Absolutely amazing Yakiniku hotplate for the Iwatani grills. I have a Iwatani Tatsujin Slim, and the ring underneath this plate has intentions that fit into place on the Tatsujin Slim. The better-holding part comes in handy when in use (and everyone is picking delicious food off of the plate). The ring part holds a medium cup of water to help steam while cooking the meat, seafood, veggies, or whatever else you have to fry at your tabletop dinner. I was able to find some Korean Bulgogi (thinly sliced beef with sauce and onions) at Costco and fry it to perfection very quickly (I live in Honolulu). The handle-looking accessory is not really a frying-pan handle as I first thought from looking at the picture, but a tool to carry off the top of the hot plate for cleaning. Just stick the two prongs into one of the slots and carry it right to the sink. Clean-up was easier than anticipated, as I expected the sauce to stick to the surface or stain the finish, but it scrubbed off clean and easy with a dish brush and dish detergent. I'm not sure how long that ability will last (I don't think it was designed to have sauces burning on the surface, but we live in Hawaii and that is how we tend to do things here) but it is doing fine so far. My family loved the indoor grilling experience that this Iwatani grill brought to our family dinners and we plan to use it again soon in the future.

Good...water tray peeling
Works as it should. Disappointed that after about 5 uses the water tray has a spot that is peeling and has developed rust. Always hand-washed and only use a soft sponge for washing, so not sure if it's the heat that's causing the peeling. This will likely only get worse. Will keep using for now. Top surface is fine so far.

Works well, good price for the quality.
only cooked twice, so far so good. This is an aluminum coated top grill, seems to be non stick but coating looks thin. Definitely don’t use metal tools on it. My first grill up, I didn’t add enough water so it started smoking after a few minutes in. I’ll have to keep on playing with it to adjust it as the instructions does say to keep heat medium to low. My portable butane stove is out of commission so only been testing on my propane stove (make sure to use it outside). I’m using it on a very old Coleman propane stove and it works well and sits perfect with metal holder. Definitely grab if you’re ok the fence about it. It’s a hybrid between a skillet or over the fire grill. It’s has jts own usage, as most skillet are mostly electrical or portable gas overprice (blackstone). Sometimes if you’re camping, you want to cut down any extra appliance you don’t need to bring and this one works well. Obviously it’s mainly for kbbq or yakitori! As other reviewers mention, it does look like the bottom holder might detonate pretty fast from grease, like maybe 50-60 cook out. But if I need to replace this every 2-3 years. $35 is still pretty good deal. Product is made in Taiwan.

So worth it
Christened this baby last night and NO REGRETS. Spent $25 on 2.5lb of KBBQ meats and sides from my local Korean market for the two of us and we didn't even finish all the meat. There's enough surface for the two of us, may be able to accommodate up to 4 but definitely not more than that. Honestly though, with that price, even if you just use it once, it's worth buying so that you don't have to go to KBBQ restaurants as often. They are so pricey! Plus you can do this at home! Be half naked(maybe not, oil splatters hurt), get drunk, play whatever music at whatever volume you want! They can't stop you! Clean up: The top part of the grill plate cleaned off like a breeze BUT the bottom part is a bit harder. Only the top part is coated in teflon but the bottom is raw metal so the burnt on stuff is basically burnt on forever. I did use a copper wool pad to get some of it off then decided it's really not that important to clean off completely since no one will ever see it and i won't be cooking on it! The drip tray was SO easy to clean. Follow the instructions, put the water in first and then it's just a matter of pouring it off and it's not harder to wash than a bowl or a plate.

Some had issues with peeling, I didnt
Bought this since we missed living in Japan and having Yakiniku on a weekly basis. I paired this with a Iwatani butane stove and works flawlessly when grilling meats table side. I see some photos where the drip area is peeling or rusting, after living in japan and working with these, its important to fill the drip pan with water to avoid burning the enamel coating since the fat just sits and boils away. I fill it to as much as the fat drip area can handle with water and as i cook it evaporates from the heat anyways so it never overflows. Been using it now constantly for 2 months and havent had any issues with peeling or damage to the grill. Additionally, dont clean the grill with any hard brushes (brillo, metal scrubbers) as it will damage the non stick coating. I always prep the grill with pam or pork fat to create a slick layer and i never had any issues with cleaning even when i grill some Korean Kalbi which is notorious for burning due to the sugar content of the marinade. Overall, well made and worth the purchase if you like table side grilling.

Hard to clean and the drip pan is peeling
It cooks pretty well but it's such a pain to clean because the backside isn't non-stick. A bunch of fat gets burned on the backside and you really have to scrub with steel wool to get that gunk off. Really wish they would've made both sides non-stick. And the drip pan is already peeling after less than a month of use like other reviewers have mentioned.

Family cooking together = Winning
Consistent and easy to use as well as simple to clean. Meals as a family activity keep them from playing "one more round" or ignoring hot meals while they play minecrack.
