Caramelizes and NO GI Upset
I'm a huge fan of Allulose. This 20lb bulk powder is the best deal on it, especially if you have a sweet tooth like me! To clear up any misconceptions, Allulose is not a sugar alcohol (such as Erythritol or Xylitol), and it's not an artificial sweetener (like Splenda, Equal, Sweet and Low), also it is not toxic to animals (unlike Xylitol which is fatal in even small doses). Allulose is a rare natural sugar. If you've ever eaten a fig, or raisins, you've eaten Allulose, even if in just a minuscule amount, as it occurs naturally in nature, just in very small quantities. Now onto the review. Allulose is great! I eat it all the time. I LOVE caramel, and unlike Sugar Alcohol's, this actually caramelizes!! I make caramelized pecans, with cinnamon and smoked paprika. This allows me to basically eat sugar coated pecans day and night with almost no guilt. This sugar also makes an awesome peanut brittle with the addition of some baking soda. As I often need Powdered Sugar, I take about 4 cups of Allulose, and put it into my handy-dandy blender and about 6 minutes later I have all the powdered sugar I could ask for. You can also turn this into a clear syrup. 4 cups of allulose to one cup of water, makes a great "corn syrup". This tastes almost like sugar, if not quite as sweet. When using it to bake or cook, I cannot tell the difference between Allulose and table sugar. There should not be any gastrointestinal discomfort with this product, because it's just sugar. However, everyone is different. I have eaten pounds of this stuff, and never had any problems with gut pain, or any loose stools. There is one HUGE difference between Allulose and table sugar. Just as humans cannot metabolize Allulose, neither can yeast. So you cannot use Allulose to proof yeast breads. This is a real bummer. Overall this deal on twenty pounds of Allulose is amazing, especially if you are on the Atkins or Keto diets. If you are an avid chef, or love to bake, this sugar will last 3 months at least. If you cook less often, this could easily last at least a year. I give this product a strong BUY rating. Give this product a try, and indulge in no calorie sweetness!

Allulose is the best sweetener for dieters & diabetics I've found.
I bought a 3 pound jar to try it. The texture is more powdery than granulate... great. The flavor is nearly perfect. I had no gastric issues. It doesn't promote tooth pain or decay. It is 0 glycemic... wow! I'm not diabetic; yet, I don't wish to get that way. One calorie per serving? Cool; yet no cooling aftertaste like a sugar alcohol has. I read the research on it; & another name is psicose. It is made by unique type of fructose altered by an enzyme. Interestingly, he resultant molecular structure looks more balanced. I am starting desserts, in a cottage industry, designed for those of compromised health; or elderly & children [won't 'bounce off the walls'; or roll around laughing hysterically unless I make my special chocolate cake with it. LOL Anyway, I then ordered 20 lbs. I put a lot in a large glass jar; & the rest in smaller lexan ones. I need some more flyers. I put a lot of time into researching ingredients; nontoxic, nutrient dense & therapeutic. That's one drawback, I suppose, to this... yet non~GMO] I am very pleased with the substance & the company.

GREAT PRODUCT!
This is the closest thing to sugar that I have found. The sweetness without the unhealthy carbs. I highly recommend.

Good enough.
Definitely sweet, a bit less than sugar. For me, though, there is a slight, fleeting after-taste. Like stevia I think it relies on surrounding flavors to absorb or incorporate the bitter trailer. Chocolate powder, probably because it is also bitter, does a pretty good job of minimizing stevia. I plan plan to bake with allulose and suspect that will attenuate the slight, but noticeable, for me, after-taste. Seller shipped promptly. I had the package almost immediately after, a day or two. The missing star is for the after-taste, not the seller.

Great sugar replacement
Following Dr. Steven Gundry's Plant Paradox meant finding and approved sugar replacement. I decided to give this one a chance. I can't stand my coffee without sweetener. This product is definitely not sugar, but it is helping me stay on track and still drink my morning beverage. I've already purchased a second bag. It's not bad at all, and I can even use it in the recipes that I bake on this food plan. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone trying to adjust their sugar intake.

Good but clumpy
This tastes good and sweet enough like 'Wholesome Yum' brand does, but isn't as finely powdered, and has fairly large irregular clumps the size of nickels to silver dollars in it, they are too hard to use a fork inside the plastic container on to crush up. The photo shows the sizes, and the mortar & pestle I ground these first ones up inside. Although it is cheaper, I hope Maya gets her (W.Y.) products back in stock on Amazon. I will edit this review if any other significant differences appear. Allulose is still my favorite non-caloric sweetener, as long as the Non-GMO certification is for real. Since this is corn-derived, they need to get The Non-GMO Project's Non-GMO Seal.

Great Product!
This is my second purchase of this product. It is a quality product and I recommend it. The price is very good compared to smaller packages of allulose. If you are having to watch your glucose levels, this product will help you to do that. It is not quite as sweet as sugar so I add 1 t. NOW Brand Better Stevia (highly concentrated, no additives) to 8 oz. of allulose, mix it up and it is as good as sugar for you. The seller has also greatly improved the shipping method. The first time I purchased it, allulose arrived in a box too large for the quantity in a heavy plastic bag that had opened during shipment. (Think messy and wasted allulose!) This time, it was double bagged and in a box that just fit the product size. This allowed the package to arrive undamaged and I appreciate the extra effort.

Magic in my mouth
Allulose is tricky to bake with, because you need more per cup than regular sugar and it burns more quickly. However, it is the absolute best substitute for sugar because it tastes like sugar. It doesn't have a funky taste at all. It doesn't raise blood sugar and is great for Keto. It can cause tummy issues like most sugar substitutes though. I love this brand and have bought it numerous times.
