The one that comes with the RV is really cheap plastic and under the bathroom sink. I ordered this one as a replacement before our first trip. This is heavy and seems really quality. I've only been on a couple of trips with it but am very happy. I think it is well worth the extra money.

Backflow preventers are required for water top-off lines to swimming pools. This US-made Watts version has long been the industry standard. They don't last forever; but they work better and last longer than alternatives. If you are replacing an older version of this model of Watts, this new one will fit the same, without soldering, done in a few minutes.

Had to replace mine on a Hobart LXi dishwasher. Well built part out of good metals. I did take it apart to see the internal parts as well. The plastic, and rubber looked well built too. Easy to replace.
