Staedtler(R) Telescopic Art Tube

I have owned this tube for about three years, and while it does not get daily use, it gets field use. It has stood up well, and that surprised me given how lightweight it is. It telescopes out quite a ways, and compacts down to about 20". Very handy, and does a great job keeping drawings from being wrinkled and creased.

The tube is rather light weight-both a blessing and curse- and the cap unscrews very easily. It does however, do the job, and the telescopic feature is very useful. The telescopic lock feature seems to work just fine. I've been to 3 conferences (10 flights) with it now, and it has held up reasonably well. On my last flight I checked it at the gate (flight full, they wanted the overhead space), and it made it through the flight and baggage claim just fine.

this tube is used to protect a bow for a bass. The strap is bonus. We fit some pieces of urethane foam into the ends to keep the bow centered and cushioned in the tube. It readily adjusted to the right length for the bow.

Great for storing projects that need to be traveled with. Adjustable strap makes it easy to adjust the tube and wear it if needed, and it's easy to carry and open. Really sturdy.

I bought this art tube for 10 bucks or so and it was fine for that price. The plastic isn't very strong and I wouldn't check it as baggage, it wouldn't maker it. Carrying it on a plane is OK and its good if you're not planning on using it a lot, it wouldn't hold up. We use it to store crops, canes and other things we can't hang. It does expand but I had a hard time getting it to unlock and expand. As I said, for ten bucks its good, but I'd feel ripped off if it cost more.

It arrived promptly awhile ago. The irm is as depicted. I'll find use for it in my business of designing buildings and other works and services.

Overall, sturdy and lightweight. The cap will not fall off because it a twist on. I'm only a little confused on how to lengthen the strap to adjust for longer posters.
