Great for fantasy LARP and mediaeval/Tudor events. Looks much bigger than it is but holds a pint. Can be tricky for those with small hands but is very comfortable to hold. Also great for hot drinks.

Since buying this I have enjoyed a drink more. Use it for my carbonated drinks and they taste better. Shud be the same with alcoholic beverages too. I tried it with coffee and woooooow. But I think cold drinks better

First off, while this is a 'finished' wood product I'm expecting it to wear down much sooner than a normal mug, and that's okay with me as it comes with the territory. It's beautifully crafted, but as it's wood, will need the same amount of care as any other wooden kitchen equipment to prolong it's lifespan. Instructional leaflet suggests washing with a soft cloth in slightly warm water, no submerging, dry with a cloth immediately. No strong sunshine, etc - be careful not to let it get exposed to something that would make it warp, basically. My main concern is the inner metal part. Upon arrival I noticed on the part where it's presumably been hammered in or otherwise secured in, there are some indents that look to be in the beginning stages of rusting already. That is obviously is not something you want to ingest so I'm unsure if I'll be using this product as more than a one-off novelty which is a shame as I was excited to get some good use out of it.

I wanted a mug that would make me feel like I was in a medieval tavern every time I drank from it and I got exactly what I was looking for.The quality is good. Beautifully made.The mug is bigger than I expected and look great. Very pleased and would recommend.

Only used for a short period and the hand bar broken. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Absolutely blown away by the construction / quality of this tankard great feel to it almost to good to use !

Very well put together and it was purchased as a Xmas gift for our son. He liked it so all is well.

I loved the old style tavern look of this tankard, when it arrived it is made of very dry wood which looks like it could crack easily, with a metal cup in the middle which holds the fluid, it has then been painted with what looks like ronseal fence paint.
