Five Stars Anyway
This bow is just what I expected. This bow arrived as pictured and described on the seller's page. It also matched the 4 and 5 star reviews. Why fives stars anyway? This bow arrived with the end tip ( where the bow string is attached ) completely off. It appears that this tip wasn't glued at the factory. However. I have glued this tip back in place and have to wait 24 hours for this repair. I liked this bow so much that, it wasn't worth the trouble to return it for this little repair. I don't know if my repair will stay on during use of the bow or not. I just got the bow today and cannot use it until the tip is fixed (24 hours). Amazon did discount the bow a little. If it works properly after the repair I will not return it. ( It is that much of a bow for the price ). I still give it five stars for its quality and price. I do believe this tip falling off is just a little oversight at the factory, which can happen on any manufactured product. I will advised you (the readers)more about this bow when I use it. By examination of this bow so far, I believe that it is a tough and rugged well made product for the price.... P.S. The glue that I put on the tip did not work. I have ordered another one and returning this bow. Just a manufacture's oversight, I guess. I do believe this is a very fine bow for the price... 10-12-13 I have received my new bow. I fully agree with the other 4 and 5 star reviewers. This is a fine bow for the price and for beginners. It shoots smooth and is very powerful and true up to about 40 to 50 feet, I haven't tried it at any greater distance yet. I am very satisfied with this bow and happy that I ordered the second one... 08-27-14 Still using this bow and it looks as the day that I received it. It appears that this bow gets better all the time or I have learned to shoot it. If you are interested in archery this is the bow to begin with, I'm telling you this item is made very well and no fault what-so-ever...

Great bow for beginners of all ages
If you are absolutely just starting out, read this review! Before buying a bow I was struggling looking for a review that related to me, so here are my specs. I'm in my early twenties, 5'8 150#. 28" draw This bow is perfect for a beginner. The # is just right for me to practice on correct form. (states 29#) It has enough power to get the arrows stuck in tree stumps (which might suck because your arrow tips might get wedged) The bow came with just the bow and the string, however items I believe are absolutely necessary for a beginner besides arrows, are a SHOOTING GLOVE to protect your fingers from damage, and a STRING NOCK. The bow is durable and sturdy, and easy to string without a stringer. The only CON about this bow is that the tips where the string is held on, are loose and can fall off when in storage. I glued mine with gorilla glue since that particular glue slightly expands as it cures, which will provide extra adhesion. I also found that I had to gorilla glue my arrow tips and nocks when they came off after shooting some stray shots. However other strong adhesives might do the job also. Overall this bow is worth the money, I spent ~$70 all together for this bow, 6 arrows, a 3 finger leather glove, arm guard, and a string knock. Not bad for a college student's budget, I will now be moving up to the Samick Sage, after a few more weeks of practice. Thank you Amazon

Great bow!
I bought two of these for my boys. I bought them the Bear starter bows a few years ago, they were great but they out grew them. They seemed to love archery with those bows as much as I love it. Then I got them the Crossman bows and those were complete junk, although they were very excited at first because they looked just like my take down recurve bows. Those bows would not even send an arrow a 1/16th of the distance they were shooting with there little bows. So I got them the Bear Titan Bows for a replacement. These are awsome bows for the money, way more powerful than my wifes expensive Cabela's 29lb bow that cost over $120. Very stout bows, a good material for children because wood is tempramental to how well you take care of the bow. These are a composite material that should last forever even if they forget them outside or get them wet. I would have rated this five stars but because the bows are so stout and powerful it is very difficult for my boys to pull the bow to their normal draw. So I took one star off for that because they said "youth bow for ages twelve and up". They are 11 and twelve and can't do it yet, so I guess they will have to grow into these a little more. I have already put them on an exercise routine to get their muscle built up. This would be a great adult starter bow. I have fun shooting them and I own several very expensive bows up to the 65lb draw weight at 28" range. My draw length is 30"-31" and I find these bows able to handle that, at I would guess at around 30-32lb draw weight. Great bow, far exceeded my expectations. Like I said, it is was for me and not my kids it would have been an easy five stars.

Good bow, but not as pictured and pieces missing.
The bow was grey, not green as pictured. The target, arm guard, and quiver was not included.

Although this is labeled as a "youth" bow, this is not a toy for children. An archery instructor tried it and admitted it was a good bow. It is made of fiberglass, not plastic. Handle and tips are hard, very tough plastic -- I don't expect anything to break soon. I am a small guy and found it was somewhat heavy for a beginner. I wouldn't try anything heavier just right now, I found it was quite my limit. I would recommend a lighter bow for a small woman or a young teen. It is painted forest green -- I like the color, but if you don't you can always repaint it. Don't mind the string which comes with it, it is not a real bow string, it looks like a show lace. A 56" dacron 14 works great. You will not find a better bow under $50.

Su construcción en metal lo hace muy resistente y de pocos cuidados a diferencia de los arcos de madera por lo que durará mucho, y su potencia es bastante buena ideal para principiantes adolescentes y adultos de por lo menos 1.5m de altura en mi opinión

Who would've thought that a cheap fibreglass bow would be so great? For its price, it's a great addition. Great for technique building and great for backyard shooting.

Good value, however I'm a little disappointed on the durrability. As I shot my bow the paint is coming off from the arrow rubbing the bow shaft. They could of made it from a paint that was durable
