Mercers Furniture Indian Bookcase - Indian Rosewood, Large

When it arrived, very well packaged but only to my drive on a pallet I had major doubts, it looked tiny. They will not deliver into your home, just as far as they can bring it on a pallet trolley, which is only stipulated after the purchase has been made. It is very heavy and does need two people to carry, as it is solid. On opening the carefully wrapped bookcase, I instantly loved it and all my reservations were gone! It looks beautiful and has transformed my room, the size was just right, not too small as I first thought. I am so impressed with it that I am considering getting rid of other furniture to make way for the larger one. I think it was well worth the money.

I don't normally write review but with this bookcase i felt i have to. The first one the seller sent me was damaged. I contacted them immediately and promptly they sent me another one three days later. I have to admit the seller's customer service is great. And the bookcase is worth every penny. It look so nice in my living room and i absolutely love it. Thumbs up! 👍

This is a lovely bookcase that fits well with other jali furniture we have. It's not too obvious from the picture that the sides have ironwork insets, but for me, this was one of its attractions. The only irritation is that it's shorter than I would ideally like. It is exactly as shown in the picture and the height as described, but an additional shelf would be more useful - but manufacturers seem to think that because the space for it to fit in isn't very wide then it must be short too!

Well made and beautiful to look at. Very heavy, you'll need two strong people to move it.

Gorgeous piece of furniture, narrower than the large bookcase which i also have. I absolutely love this heavy, rich wood bookcase. This is my second purchase from Mercers Furniture, and they were surprisingly quick, despite this time asking me to wait for the courier delivery on a certain day - then the courier showing up the next morning. So i had taken a day off work for nothing.But nevertheless - a beautifully crafted piece of furniture, sure to last for years!

Nice book shelf however had purchased same book shelf earlier in the year and this 2nd book shelf totally different colour/shade and 2 different design aspects of it made it a bad match against the other which totally ruined the fact that I wanted them to stand side by side. Spoke to company ( 2 people) regarding finding a better match and maybe if necessary returning book case to them. Yes they would do their best and try to sort out issue; weeks later and absolutely no contact or help from this company which leads me to the conclusion that once they have your money they could not give a stuff about their customers. And based on this I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Excellent bookcase made really well,lovely colour and it looks fantastic. It comes fully assembled on a pallet wrapped in lots of bubblewrap. The delivery was earlier than expected and the delivery guy was really helpful. Would definately recommend to anyone.
