I had brought this Kaleidoscope by Smartivity as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old son and we all loved it. To begin with, the kit is nicely packed, has a pictorial and written instruction manual. All the parts required to assemble the kaleidoscope is given in the kit including the colorful beads. It is easy to assemble once you follow the instructions. My son is 5 year old, so needed some assistance from us. Once assembled, it is indeed fun to explore and play with. The kit also has an assessment sheet to gauge whether the child has understood various concepts. It also has alternate ways in using the kaleidoscope. This is an ideal gift for kids who love DIY and like to learn new things, especially those inclined towards science. It is really very affordable too. Overall we loved our purchase and my kid still things this is the best gift given by Santa Claus!

The product is intelligently designed and is very engaging. It is difficult to assemble for 5 year old; however with assistance they find it very interesting. The instruction manual is illustrative, very easy to understand and well explained. All parts are of good quality and the final product viewing the kaleidoscope is simply hypnotic and mesmerising. The packaging is very sturdy , Eco friendly and the makers have made sure the assembly is well understood . The makers have shared contact numbers, WhatsApp numbers for its users to get help and share feedback. A big thumbs-up.

Assembling the parts to make a kaleidoscope can be fun; therefore, the concept is nice. The instruction booklet is well written. For the steps 8-9, fixing the Long Pillar to the Supporting Disc using Small Band was difficult at times due to poorly cut notches (I fixed it using a knife). For the step 11, when the protective layers were to be peeled off all the 3 Mirror Strips to reveal the Mirror, I was not sure whether the protective layers at the back sides were to be peeled off as well (I peeled them off anyway as I thought it won't stick to the assembly otherwise). However, putting it together is definitely not for 6+. For older kids, following these instructions could be fine. When the kaleidoscope is ready, it's obviously for 6+, but if it's dropped, it has a high potential to be broken. My 8+ daughter has been enjoying it, and I'm thankful to Smartivity for that. Worth buying it.

Very detailed colorful instruction/assemble manual book … though still will need an adult to help out with those rubber bands and close to the end stage… only draw back is the marketing strategy showing it double the size is a big put off.. just showing a 10 rupee note in relation to the actual length of the product … the packaging inside box and the quality of materials is too notch.. for the size it is, I would say rate is higher by100 Re at least …. Hoping to surprise with this one productive and sensible gift apart from the silly stuffed dolls she had wished for , my daughter Christmas Day :)

The product is awesome. Whoever has designed it, it has been done thoughtfully. The assembly is easy, the idea of rotational disk is awesome. A suggestion I would like to give is,...for the last disk, there should be some semi transparent material instead of the transperant disk.

A wonderful product. I wanted to gift an interesting item to my 7 year old kid and this fits the criterion so well. It's little tricky to assemble but the 24x7 support via video call as well as YouTube videos make it easy. Once assembled, it's a wonderful experience of seeing infinite patterns. This is something you can gift your little ones and reduce their screen time. Good job, smartivity!

You will like this toy , if you like lego . My son and I had great fun constructing it . The material looks like cardboard but is actually made up of some thin plywood. It’s reasonably durable The beads in the rotating box can be changed to allow for more patterns and replay value The size is small compared to what it appears to be in the pictures . Here is a picture next to a pen for size comparison

Bit expensive, but satisfied. Kids really enjoyed the assembly and the patterns. As usual, the interest in patterns weared off and is currently lying for occasional peeping.
