I bought a premium quality artificial, unlit 6.5 foot tree, and the 170 ft light string works for it. Could have been just slightly longer, but close enough. I love the way these lights work, exceeds my expectations. My wife wants white, I like colors.... great that we can switch between them as desired. We first bought some other 'warm white' expensive LED lights, supposedly 'professional quality', completely different brand, and sent them back because they were way too bright, besides not really a 'warm' white. Would have needed sunglasses. The white on these is almost yellowish, but very nice, and I love the colors. The wires seem decent quality, they came rolled up and not tangled at all. Since I had to send the other brand of white lights back, we needed a quick replacement, and I figured I'd use these this Christmas, and maybe get others for next year. Not anymore! I really like the quality of the colors (both white and colors), the remote works fine, I usually go for steady lights but the changing modes are very nice too. We're pretty fussy about the appearance of the tree lights, and instead of being a temporary replacement- these are a keeper!! Love that you can dim them if desired too. Between the colors, switching between white and colored, the different modes, and dimming- great! This is the first year with them- I hope they hold up!! I'll look to replace them in the future, if/when they may eventually go. And got them on sale for $30- quite a deal. Get them.

It was perfect. Arrived in a timely manner. The lights helped enhance the beauty of my tree. All lights worked. Different modes. It was nice and long. We were able to have it go around my tree from top to bottom. twice. Can't wait to use it again next christmas. It was worth it.

Edit: (I wasn't able to directly answer the question of spacing for someone so I will put it here.) According to my measuring tape, when I measured 5 different spaces in the lights, it was 4". I even had my husband come and double check and he also got 4". I hope this helps I love these lights! They have the warm white that we were looking for and the colors we were looking for. They look perfect on our fence and we had a little bit extra to wrap around a little tree. We have since ordered more because we decided to decorate the other trees along the fence as well. The lights: Bright and colorful. They also have twinkle settings, but are a little more like strobe lights so we won't be using those. There is a lovely mode that soft shifts from the warm lights to the colors that is very pretty. Also helps if you can't make up your mind which you like more, white or colors. The Remote: I think there could be some improvement on the remote. You have to be within about 10ft away and can't have anything in the way for it to work. For example; we can't change them while inside the house. We have to be on our front porch and make sure there is nothing in the way. The tangle: I love the lights, but I wish we had bought a couple of the shorter strands to put together instead of the long one for our project. We ended up spending a large chunk of time, about an hour or so, untangling the lights. If I had it to do again, same brand, just a shorter length for ease of organization. Durability: I will tentatively say that these are pretty durable so far (If that changes I will come back and update the failure time) It rained the night we put them up and they are still working just fine. I was worried about all the untangling that they might have broken, but nope, all still working. I would add though that when we untangled them, we did yank and pull. We were careful enough about it. All in all Great lights. Can't wait to set up the second set when they arrive.

These are nice and they match my LED tree. The modes are as in the video. You can brighten and darken them for ambiance (shown at end of video). The o ly mode I wish they did have as I do on my tree would be some sort of twinkle mode. This is a great product for the price! My kids love choosing the color and mode of the day!

I like the lights a lot. They all worked out of the box and have continued working uninterrupted for over a month. Lots of different modes and colors. And this was the longest strand I could find for the price. The only complaint I have is the blue light on the receiver. It’s super bright when there is no other light on. I’d say like 4.5 stars really.

Used them this Christmas and loved them. Super easy to use and so bright. Loved how you can change the settings.

These lights were exactly what I needed. Being able to change the color is awesome. They looked amazing and were way cheaper than the ones you buy and the store that are string lights. Exactly what I needed.

I have a 7.5 ft tree and 2 sets of the 105ft lights were inadequate to cover the tree (see photo). I ended up ordering another set. The lights look beautiful but like other reviewers commented, the modes are odd - there are only 2 settings: one is lights on all the time, and the other is to cycle through all different modes, which gives me a headache. Hence we just keep ours in the constant lights on mode.

Arrived before estimated day and exactly as advertised. Very happy with these lights and will be purchasing again.

This has been my second Christmas using these. There's already about 6 lights burnt out so that's unfortunate. But overall super nice and cute! I love them otherwise
