Works with Logitech Cameras
I bought this switch because of its spec - 120 total watts, all 8 ports are POE capable, no fan (for attic installation where having a fan is probably worse) and made in Taiwan (preferred over plain China). Will be using it with at least 6 Logitech exterior cameras. Did a one week stress test to verify that all components work together. Here is my result (passed). About the switch: There are 2 components - the switch itself and a power brick. The switch is very compact and light, no moving parts. It is made in Taiwan. The power brick is similar to ones used for larger notebooks. It is made in China. The ports: There are 8. If you use one for the uplink (most applications need an uplink), then you only have 7 ports for your POE devices. Not a problem, but please plan ahead. Hook up: There is no on/off switch. Plugging the power supply in turns the switch on. I recommend doing this first, then connect the POE devices one at a time. I did tried plugging-in/unplugging the power supply with all POE devices connected. There was no problem. Power consumption: I connected 6 Logitech cameras to the switch. At full load, with all cameras booting at the same time and infra on (they turn on during boot), cameras+switch used around 50w (kill-a-watt). With the infra off, cameras+switch used around 35w. For these reasons, I was not able to verify the 120w output claim. Heat dissipation: The switch was never even warm. The cameras did get HOT, but survived the test. The power brick was more of interest because it will be in a VERY HOT attic. It was normally warm. To stress test, I wrapped it in a towel and put all cameras in a dark room to triggered the infra. In a few hours, the brick got quite hot, but not bad. Left it that way for a day. Conclusion is that it should survive my attic. In all, very satisfied. I did encountered a problem which was diagnosed to be a camera issue, not the switch's. Basically, 1 of the cameras rebooted itself whenever I connected to it using the Logitech software. I blamed the switch at first, but eventually fixed the problem by removing the SD card from the camera and reformatted it, put it back, then upgraded the firmware. Camera seemed stable now.

works great for my new POE camera system
I just installed this in my attic as part of my new POE security camera system. It was easy - just plug 'n play - and has been working great. I was able to mount it to a 2x6 using the included rack mount parts, which wasn't ideal but seems quite sturdy. I have all 8 POE ports running 4MP cameras, and both unpowered ports are being used too. I picked this model because I ran Cat6A cable for all my cameras and wanted a switch that could utilize high speed data if necessary. I don't think it was needed for my current cameras, but I'm hoping this switch will last for a long time and possibly through future higher-def cameras. I will try and update with how it holds up through the rainy season and the summer heat etc. Update Oct 2018: we had an unusually hot summer and this has held up just fine so far Update March 2019: still working great Update Dec 2019: almost 2 years later, it still is working great. I haven't had a single problem with it yet. Update Nov 2020: RIP switch! it lasted almost 3 years in my attic, a much less than ideal environment, so I'm not going to downgrade my rating. I haven't played around with it, but it is possible that just one of the main ports went out or something, because it still gets power it just wasn't passing on video from my cameras to my computer. I'll check it out at some point and if it was just one of the ports I'll report back, but I've already replaced it with a new switch with more ports so I can expand my camera setup.

GREAT Little POE Switch!
Positively ZERO complaints! Very robust and perfectly suited for a home or industrial applications where a small POE switch is desired. Rock solid for me so far. I don't anticipate any problems and have been running it a few months now, but will update if it fails prematurely. (Unlikely, in my opinion)

Great value, no regrets for this purchase.
I have been using this POE switch to run 5 cameras for the past month. It's compact and feels very well constructed. It could technically support 7 total cameras, leaving one port remaining for up-link. My cameras have 2-4 random "watchdog timeouts" per day, though I cannot definitely say this is due to the switch or my cameras/wiring/software. I have yet to witness one of these from my monitoring software either. The DC jack is on the opposite long side as the Ethernet jacks. I would have preferred all connections to be on one side as this isn't really a rack-mount switch. This is a very minor cosmetic matter of preference though. If you are considering adding 4-7 POE devices to your home or small office, this is a great network component for you. I could not find a better switch for the price range, and would recommend this to friends.

No problems at all, plenty of power.
At 130 Watts, this was one of the most robust POE switches I could find. When I got it, I was impressed that it felt solid and well built. Setup was very simple and the rack mount ears worked just fine! I am powering 4 IP video cameras with it and it has enough reserve power to run 4 more! Even though I was not acquainted with this brand, I think it's a really good unit!

Great low cost 8 port (all PoE) switch
I was needing a poe switch that had poe over all 8 ports. Most of the lower cost 8 port poe switches only do poe on 4 of them (which is what I had before this switch and now I need more poe for cameras). So I found this one at a good price that still gave out poe on all 8 ports. I also like this one over others because it has the "9th" uplink port. At first I didn't think I would like that because it reminded me of the old hubs that had a dedicated uplink port and it had to be used only for that. However when I thought about this more it meant I really had a 9 port switch since all other 8 port switches I would have had to use one of them as the uplink to my router and on this one I didn't have to which meant I could use all 8 for the poe function which was a big plus in my book.

Working great! Solved many power / camera drop issues I was having with my system. Moving my cams off the NVR's POE ports to this dedicated switch is how I should have started my build. I can now access my cams directly over the network without having to log into and through the NRV, expanding my options for software & apps and a 2nd NVR for redundancy. My NVR is now remotely hidden, not having a bundle of POE cables to it. Bonus! You can hook your NVR directly to one of the non-POE ports and the other to your Router, they don't both have to connected to the router to have a functioning switch. I bought & paid for this device out of my own pocket on a whim seeing it was cheaper than the big name devices, No Regrets!

Product is very good quality, in both external appearance and functionality.I had originally bought the 5 port version, after several month of continuous use I was satisfied of its performance and decided to upgrade to this 10-port +2 model.

Purchased 2 units and the first one has worked great so far. Powers my remote raspberry PI units fine. The second unit powered up and worked well for the first hour test, but failed to power up for a test on the second day. Have started the return process and will purchase a couple more hoping that this was just a fluke failure.
